You don’t actually pick. Disney assigns you to one for each night of the trip, that way you get to eat at all of them.

How comfortable is the couch in the verandah state rooms?

It was good for relaxing but can’t speak to it as much for sleeping at night or naps. Sorry we can’t provide more detail on that but thank you again for watching!

For example, the Magic currently has departure ports on Disney cruise’s website from: Galveston, San Diego, Miami, New Orleans, and New York. If you filter my ship on Disney’s cruise website it can show you all the various itineraries. Hope this helps!

Since we were on the ship for the Marvel Day At Sea cruise, there may have been more characters, however Disney does list characters interactions for this space, so I am guessing yes. I’m just not 100% since we personally have only done the one cruise on here. Here is the description from disneycruise.com “Marvel Super Hero Academy: Swoop into the top-secret command post of S.H.I.E.L.D. and wield the weaponry of your favorite Avenger-including Thor’s hammer and Captain America’s shield! Kids can enjoy arts and crafts, play video games or summon their inner strength during surprise Super Hero visits.”
