Lol I think Belle is my favorite 😂 Cinderella seems to have some 50s influence in her design (her movie did come out then) which I absolutely love. I love that Meg and Esmeralda were both made. Tiana was another favorite because she has the old style glam thing going on.

I really love the theme of this collection and I knew I had to have Esmeralda and Meg! Looking at stock photos I preferred Esmeralda, but comparing them in person, I think I like Meg better. They are both completely gorgeous, of course!

With the diversities and different ethnicities being accepted in the world, it IS a plausibility that underrated characters like Megara and Esmerelda COULD make a return in doll form. Hercules was always one of my fave non Disney Princess movies, I first saw it in theaters during summer school as a kid, and it’s a shame we never have a decent doll form of her, especially since her paper doll form had a beautiful art of Greek outfits for her, same with Herc! In fact, Hercules was the reason I got so hooked into history and Greek Mythology in school! I got a great grade on Athena!

I heard from another Disney doll collector that went to D23 that the Doll sets didn’t sell out so they could show up on the Disney store website. I’m not sure if they will show up on the UK site check both. 😉

My good friend got me a Giselle and Edward set, he went to D23 and they were exclusive and he paid $199. I've only seen them on eBay at triple the price so far. They box they came in is a luxurious purple. I love love love them.

First...before the more pertinent information. I swoon whenever I hear you talk. Now, so I think these dolls are stunning. I dont think normal people interested in dolls are going to be able to afford them. I think the interesting thing about Megara and Esmerelda is that there haven't been dolls made of them in so long that the doll values from the 90s are really pricey. I can't find a cheap-ish one anywhere. There all 30-50 on up. I understand why they didn't make a Giselle doll apart from the movie or add her into the Disney Princess line...I heard somewhere along the way that if they did they would have to pay Amy Adams a lot of money because they are using her image on merchandise and that the animation is her likeness so that they'd have to pay her for that too which is why they did not do anything with that. I'm hoping that because of this D23 doll that an Enchanted 2 is coming eventually.

Most of the designer couples didn't sell out, previously unsold sets went on sale on shop Disney so maybe keep a eye out for them.

You can get this Giselle doll set on ebay starting at $300. Though most are above $400. I lucked out and got both Giselle & Aurora at retail , because of slight flaws on the box that are fixable with glue.

Honestly all The D23 limited editions are not selling well on the second hand market right now. You can easily buy the sets still and they’re not crazily priced like usual :)
