What an amazing drink/dessert tip at resorts, thank you so much for sharing! A fun tip for the quick service locations that I like to share is that some locations have secret menu items that show up on the My Disney Experience app if you look at the mobile order menu. And there is such a wide variety of quick service options at Epcot and the resort food courts.

I was so glad to hear of your experience. My mother and I are going in September and got free counter service dining and decided not to upgrade to table service. I must say it has been very freeing when making plans! We still made ADR’s for Be our Guest and Tea one afternoon!

Great info...we normally get the regular dining plan on our visits so we can have a sit down meal to slow down. But I have a friend with 3 smaller kids and they use the quick service since the kids wouldn't want to take time for table. With the options for quick service now it doesn't sound bad if you want to save time and budget. ~Dawn

We loved the dining plan. We would use a snack credit for breakfast (cinnamon bun or muffin) at resort with refillable coffee. Then we used our 2nd snack for treats 😊. Love the snack options. The meal choices are great. Another great video. You always make my day

Thank you so much for your tips for Quick Dining. We will be at WDW in 14 days. We always get the regular dining plan, we love character dining with our boys! Just gives me such joy when i see their faces light up when they see their favorite characters. My boys like to eat good lol! so their food don't go to waste. Ive been doing my research for the best quick service options. We usually use our QS credits at the resorts food court. Great video, Melissa!! I don’t feel like the Quick Service Dining Package gets enough love! We almost always go with this package because we feel like having to have FP reservations - and dining too, is just way too structured for us while on vacation. Plus like you said, Table Service meals take a lot of time away from the Parks. We do usually still book a Table Service or two, and just pay out of pocket for them so we kind of have the best of both worlds. 😉 So, we may do a Table Service for lunch that day, and we then just use our Quick Service Plan for breakfast and dinner, so it all works out. So glad you guys gave it a try this time and it worked for you!! Also, the Mobile Order option has gotten WAY better over the past few months! They used to not accept Dining Plan credits - you could only pay by Credit Card, but now that you can use your credits, it is SO convenient for us, and we absolutely love the Mobile Order option!! 💕

Pari Breeze Pari, I know it’s always hard to come to decisions sometimes. But when Brad and I go back in December, we will be doing the Regular dining plan also. I’ve tried them all now but for Brad and me, the regular dining is best suited for us. However, I do feel the quick service plan was the best decision for us when we went in June for Toy Story since we had such a short time there. Charlluvs disney Charlene, that’s funny. I think my hips grow too watching others eat also. Lol. Well, they are growing boys. Lol. A lot of times, folks will get a dining plan and maybe don’t have an appetite for all of the food on their plan so they can exchange any meal credits that are still left on their dining plan in for prepackaged snacks to bring home. By doing this, you’re at least getting something for the food you prepaid for instead of losing it. It’s best to eat your meals on your plan if possible to get the most out of your dining plan. Moderate and value get quick service, Deluxe and Villas get the Disney dining which is the table service the Quick Service the two snacks in a mug

I got free dining plan without having park hopper ticket. I got only 3 days ticket and Halloween party and I have a resort reservation for 7 days but we will flight into Orlando at midnight and have to leave around 4 in the morning on the last day since we are from foreign country but I think sometimes travel agencies offer you free dining even though you don’t purchase park hopper ticket.

So if you are staying at the Disneyland hotel on property for 3 days it would be $52.50 a day per person so about $160?

Tanya McKinley Yes Tanya, the prices I quoted are based on each night that you have a reservation in your resort. It’s per person per day. So, that is correct. Now, these prices are taken from Disney World. I’m not sure if that’s the exact same price for Disneyland. But, they should be similar. So glad you found it helpful Tanya!! 🌺😘

Tonia Adams Hey Tonia! Well, it was a nice portion for me but they also bring out a plate of pastries for the table to share with everyone. So, with that and the fruit that came with my cronut was super filling. Now, if you want to make the most of your dining plan, try the breakfast plate with eggs, sausage, bacon, and potatoes. I think that’s what was on my husbands plate. The dinner portions are more generous in size. But, to answer your question. Lol. I LOVED the cronut. 🌺😘

Hi beautiful are you able to get pasta at all the resorts? Or does it depend on where you are staying? Was the food good at the resort?

Dominique573 N Awe, thank you! You’re just so sweet. I think you’ll be able to get pasta at most resorts in their quick service restaurants. I think even value resorts have a pretty good menu to choose from. I think the food at the quick service restaurants are good. It’s not equivalent to eating at a nice full service restaurant but it great for quick food. Especially if you have children or are in a hurry. When I went last June, we only ate at quick service restaurants and we were pleased. It’s usually a similar menu every where you go. Hamburgers, chicken nuggets, pizza, and usually pasta of some kind. But usually very tasty and filling. For a broader menu you’ll need to go to a table service restaurant. Great video, thanks for sharing. I've always wanted to experience the dining plan, but we never eat that much when we go, the only thing I really eat whenever we go to Disney is my turkey leg, can't go to Disney and not eat that...LOL and then we only snack and usually take some stuff along in our backpacks. Maybe I'll try it next time just for the experience, but my goodness $212 for food for 4 people per day seems like a huge amount 🤔😨

Yami Ruiz Thanks Yami. Well, we love using the dining plan for the convenience more than anything. For someone like you guys who live so close, I feel it wouldn’t have an impact for you. The turkey legs look amazing. I’ve never tried one yet. It’s on my list. Lol. Well, I added up some numbers just for fun and by the time you paid out of pocket for everything you get on a quick service plan, it was neck and neck. Depending on what you choose from the menu. Of course, if you eat the cheapest items on the menu and don’t get sides or snacks or a refillable mug, it probably won’t be an advantage from the financial side of it for sure. I think folks who drink alcohol and eat the larger items benefit the most. I hope y’all are getting settled in now. I know it’s probably been tough lately. You're so sweet, thank you ❤ we're pretty settled, my husband and I have been clearing out the yard, it was pretty wild, we have banana palms, a coconut palm and a guava tree, I'll take some pics and send them to you through messenger. We have a huge pile of garbage out front, I called the city for the bulk pick up, I hope they don't take long because it's been raining and it looks so nasty out there with that big ol' pile of junk, my neighbors probably hate me already 😂🤣

How do you keep track of the credits for your dining plan? What if you run out of credits or go over your amount?

Noelle Sumpter Noelle, you're entitlements will be on your magic bands so as you use them they will be deducted and your remaining entitlements will be on your receipt each time. So you can keep up with them there or if you ever are unsure concierges can give you your total at any time. I don't think you can go over. I believe they would inform you that other payment will be needed as well. I know from experience of getting snacks also that they'll ask you if you want to use a snack credit or pay with other payment source so you will have a lot of knowledge of what is being used. But always check your receipt. Hope I've been helpful. Thanks for the question.

Can my 9 yr old order from the regular menu.. on the quick service plan ? Or must she order from the kids menu?

Msbg00 C If your child is nine and you purchase a child's meal plan, she would need to eat from the child's menu. If you order her a meal for an adult, an adult quick service will be deducted from your entitlements. This may cause you to come up short later in the week for an adult quick service meal. You can also choose to pay out of pocket for her an adult meal f you would like. However, if you are NOT on the meal plan she can definitely order from the adult menu but you would be charged for the adult price. If it is a buffet, you may need to consult the cast member to see their policy for children and buffets. They are usually really good about trying to accommodate families and their children.
