I totally agree with you about purchasing mugs. We have three of the older design that you have with the blue top on our first time( and last ) as a family at Disney World. We stayed at All Star Movies. It certainly saved us a ton of money every day because we drink coffee every morning and drink water all day as well as other drinks. We also have the cute 👻 Halloween Cabana Bay mugs from our Universal trip in 2018.

Remember when the dining plan was free? Now I can relate to when my mom used to say to me, those were the days, literally. Life is so complicated and disappointing nowadays 😔😧😞

When I go to WDW I usually do time share, but if I stay at a resort I will definitely get one…so worth it just for morning coffee alone! 😂

Wow interesting! I wonder if Disneyland has the mugs, I will have to check on it. Drinks there are definitely expensive even just for a one day trip!

That’s a bit naughty not being able to refill the mugs again on the next trip…. If you put a kosher mug on the platform and filled it,but then tipped that into a mug you’ve already brought earlier,you’d get round that!! Can you fill them up as many times as you like… Great information 👍❤️🇬🇧

This is exactly what we did. We are a family of three, don’t drink pop often but We only purchased one mug and when we wanted lemonade we would fill that one mug, and pour it into one a previous mug from home. Coffee is free so my husband used a mug from a previous trip for that.

We buy the mugs each trip when we go, we end up with a lot of mugs considering we go about three to four times a year. Also I hand wash ours so the design doesn’t wear off.

Yes there are typically sinks where the soda machines are

The coffee was decent and they had creamer and sugar in the cafetarieas

So the mugs are only good at resorts? We definately used ours there in the mornings and evenings and during pool time and got our money's worth, but we took our mugs into the parks as well (we've only been twice staying on resort Nov. 2018 and Feb. 2020) and refilled them at any quick service meal station (we had dining plans both trips). Were we not supposed to do that? lol, no one said anything and honestly one worker filled mine with iced tea I requested at a quick service place in Epcot that I stopped at and didn't even eat, I was just thirsty. I thought the mugs could be used in parks too as long as you bought the dining plan. OOPPS! lol, now I know they're resort use only. I agree, they save money for sure because my family and I are big drinkers of cola, tea, and coffee.

No you can not. You need to buy the mugs every time. They will know if you try. to get free drinks.
