This game was almost my entire existence for a certain period when I was a child, sometime right before and/or during first few grades of elementary school. Nothing else existed, nothing else mattered. Even after that, lot later, I came back to it many times and replayed it. It's something that cannot be put to words - images, sounds, smells, music, associations... it was magical. I'm 24 now, and you bet your ass I'm going to play it again, if I manage to get it working on win10. I also replayed some other late 90s/early 2000s game these days, the nostalgia is tearing me inside out.

@@darknid158 Awesome! It's cool how most of the people here seem to be around that age, and it's really nice we were brought here together by this beautiful game. As I wrote somewhere in the comments, one of the creepiest parts of the game for me was the wind in the castle level. Gave me so much anxiety attempting to get to the 'pockets' to hide from the wind before it hits you. I would wait until last moment on purpose and then try to hide in time. That amused me so much for some reason. Scary Forest had a great atmosphere and The Maze had that giant ball that seems to have brought anxiety to anyone who played it back in the day haha

Yes!! I'm 24 and it was one of my favorites, for some reason I was always impatient to get to circus level to get a ticket for the rollercoaster. Hard to pick a favorite level though, every one of them was oozing of charm. De Vil Manor, all of the mini golf levels, Piccadilly, Regent's park, the one with Egypt pyramid etc etc. Definitely enriched my childhood. If I ever have a kid, I'll get him this game.

It's such a great game and also my first ever video game. I remember being stuck in level 2 as a kid since I was too afraid to pass the bazooka guy beneath the rocket. It took me 3 years to beat haha. Now at 21 I found my old disc again and just reinstalled it for some good ol' nostalgia.

Try the spyro reignited trilogy if you haven't already. It's a similar formula. The original spyro games and this game were my childhood favorites as well and even now I can just play them over and over lol. Still fun!

the soundtrack is amazing, npcs are perfect, mechanics are simple yet fun and smooth and all the levels have their own charm and incredible design. they didn't have to go this hard on a game made for children. I remember I couldn't click the button fast enough as a kid on the donut rollercoaster minigame and my grandma would help me, I'd piss myself laughing at her smashing the button with all her might. I miss childhood so bad.

I was actually just thinking that! Plus, even the attacks are similar, one is breath based (fire/bark) the other is attacking at a fast pace (charge and tumble) was worried that I was the only one!

As I said somewhere in the replies, this game was my entire existence for a certain period in my childhood. 🥰 Weirdly, one of the creepiest parts of the game for me was the wind in the castle level. Gave me so much anxiety attempting to get to the 'pockets' to hide from the wind before it hits you. I would wait until last moment on purpose and then try to hide in time. That amused me so much for some reason.

Wow 101 Dalmatians ps1, the legendary old game, Nina misses it so much. When I was a kid, I often played this game on the PlayStation 1. Thank you for bringing it to play to relieve my longing. Same thing, dude. I remember the whirlpool, the textures of the rock walls and the labyrinth. I don't remember anything else from the rest of the game, so there is a high chance I might have not even progressed😅 It is so crazy, I am all the way in Brazil and yet this game impacted so many people around the world. One of other game from ps1 that I rembember playing was gex.
