And you definitely don't think of the beach when you think of Disney World, so having your own private beach is pretty nice. We have been to Chef Mickey’s for breakfast twice since it reopened and it has always been the full FAB FIVE including both Donald and Pluto! Which is why it’s still my favorite character dining. Idk why people say it’s not that great. At breakfast it is definitely worth it. I would try dinner, but I really like having Mickey waffles with Mickey.

I always thought the criticism of Chef Mickey’s buffet food being too child centric as being a little unfair - it’s CHEF MICKEYS!!! that’s the idea 😂 My family always loved the buffet, the characters and the fun the CM’s obviously had serving. Definitely worth a trip if you have little (or not so little) ones in your party!

I’ve been to Discovery Island and River County when I was a kid. River Country was my favorite. There was this rapids like twisting thing- sort of like the e opposite of a lazy river, and my brothers and I got slammed and banged up- it was great- no way Disney would allow that today. We considered River Country bruises badges of honor.
