It's strange to me how the standard rooms have a such a cohesive 1920's Atlantic seashore look, while these more expensive suites seem to have a miso-mash of nonsense. How does a twig shaped lamp with a cricket connect to the Boardwalk theme? Where is the Boardwalk art? Where is the wainscoting? No detachable shower head for a room that costs $1000 a night? They really phoned these in.

These rooms have never been Boardwalk themed. They’ve always had a flower cottage theme because they’re so unique. But we agree: we wish Disney would have done more to all of the bathrooms at this resort.

The villas have not been refurbished yet, but they will be working on them stating this fall. There is a good chance they'll have some or all of them complete by May, but as with all construction projects there is no guarantee

It never had one before either. They stuck with the garden theme in these but it looks much more updated now which is a plus. The older version was cute but really outdated.

@@HereWithTheEars thanks. Right after I watched this video I watched your tour of the BWI deluxe room and was happy to see the Boardwalk theme. I’m glad that didn’t change, and those rooms look so much better than they did.

I can't wait until I can stay here!😍 So do you just request the balcony but kinda get what you get? I also wonder why they wouldn't allow a child to sleep on the couch too-seems like a waste to have a 2 story limited to 2 people. My tween girl would love it!

You can request the balcony ones, yes, but it’s not a guarantee. Both layouts are beautiful though, so no matter which one you get, it’s a wonderful place to stay 💗 They used to allow 4 people in these rooms, but Disney wanted these to be designed for couples, so they made it a two person room 😊

Great job with the tour! I am trying to love these rooms, but I think I like the feel and layout of the 1 bedroom DVC villas better. And if I really wanted club level, I think, for me, I would save where I could and just book a regular club level room.

Agreed! These are great very so often, but for normal Disney trips, the regular rooms are really nice 😊
