I love learning the history behind things at the parks! Honesty, I think the addition of alcohol has a lot to do with Millennials. Because of our generation waiting later to have kids or none at all, and social media influences, along with growing up with theme parks (I believe you have done a video about all this), it makes sense that they are bringing out things like this to appeal to the young 20's crowd, since that seems to be a majority of the guests as well as families. I know my husband likes to try a few beers in Epcot and he's gotten a rum dole whip at Animal Kingdom. Personally, as a Mom, I could do without the alcohol. I don't drink it when I'm with my kids and I know a small number will likely take it overboard. With all that though, nothing wrong for those wanting a wine with dinner. It's kind of like everything in life, act responsibly and it won't be a big deal. Another lovely video, Ariel! 💜

That's an interesting point about millennials! I actually didn't think of that. I have a few friends who go to Disney World solely to try their drink selection 😀I love trying the drinks in Epcot, but I can totally understand how the occasional rowdiness would upset some parents! That being said, Epcot is the only Disney Park where I've seen people get really crazy (but it doesn't happen too often). As always, thank you for watching!! And I love your new channel name 💜

I think it is not a big deal. People who go to the Disney parks are not planning to get wasted...

I agree! Aside from Epcot (where you'll see the occasional rowdiness), I haven't seen any drunken shenanigans take place at the parks.

From the sounds of it, those pre-Disneyland parks sound like taking your kids to Chuck E Cheese. It's no wonder why Disney wanted something more higher quality.

Yep!! Before Disneyland, there really was no emphasis on immersive theming in amusement parks. Just your run-of-the mill carnival rides and games. We have Disney to thank for parks like Universal, Sea World, Legoland, etc. 😀

Don’t mind Disney serving alcohol but Epcot is getting out of control. I don’t think Walt would like his Park to be a place for bar crawls

Dined at Skippers Canteen specifically to have brew. Epcot is fun likewise.

I love Skippers Canteen!! I believe they were the second MK park to start serving alcohol.

I don’t think it’s a big deal to serve alcohol and a Disney theme parks because, every culture is different in France they have a glass of wine with their meal, so French children who are growing up in their culture would see that every day, so the Disney theme parks have to make it authentic.

Super interesting! I don’t drink so I’d never thought about this before. IMO as long as there’s not a bunch of blatantly intoxicated people roaming around and making the parks less family friendly I don’t see a problem haha. And I’m sure they have policies about overserving to prevent that.

I never really had a problem with it either! Every once in awhile, I'll see a group of 20 somethings that are SUPER drunk at Epcot. But I haven't been around it enough to have it really ruin my experience at the parks 😀
