Much respect for this review. I'm more so an outdoorsmen. I've been to fort wilderness several times and just love the escapism it gives from the hustle and bustles from visiting parks and Disney springs. Definitely not for everyone, especially if your ideal vacation is more chill and not consist of humidity, long walks, insects, wild animals, etc...however its at least a try for anyone trying to access disney on a budget. Especially if they Camp via Tents, so much fun for family's.

Yes, I completely agree!! If you enjoy the outdoors or want some peace and quiet it's a great place. We loved how quiet it was and really very relaxing. It gives you that "home" feeling after a long theme park day. Thanks so much for checking out our channel and sharing your thoughts. We really appreciate the kind words! ✨💜

I truly love your honest breakdown and comparison of this resort! Such a great and quick informative video! As an avid WDW traveler and travel agent who specializes in Disney, I found this video super helpful! While I’ve been to Disney many times, I have yet to stay at all the resorts. And your explanation of the lack of Disney theming helped me decide against this resort for now. I just stumbled across your channel, and I look forward to checking out your other videos! Thanks for sharing!

We are booked to camp there 4/2023. We have camper and my dream was to camp there one time. We drove through on internal bus on a past stay to get to hoop dedoo review. The campground is huge !! My daughter and husband have rented a camper to stay there. There are 2 “disney” approved camper remtal facilities in orlando. They bring camper set up etc and you are good to go! We also renred golf cart ftom thdm whuch will be delivered and be there for our entire stay

That sounds like so much fun!! We had a RV rental set up for April 2020 but then the universe had different plans! But it's back on our bucket list and we plan to do it soon. And good choice on the golf cart!! It is really huge and there are lots of places you can't get to by car so you only have the internal bus or golf cart...and for us the golf cart was so much more convenient. I hope you have an awesome trip!

I recently stayed at Ft. Wilderness for 3 nights at an RV site and thought it was a bit pricey, but my dog and I had a good time. The bus system took me a while to understand but it was a great way to get around the park and the rest of Disney World. I was a bit annoyed about the $5 a day fee for the dog. I didn’t think my dog had anywhere near the impact on the resort than the large number of kids that were there and I said so when I was asked to review my stay by Disney. (I didn’t get a response)

I agree, for the price of the cabin you can stay at other Disney properties. We love fort wilderness but will stay there only in a camper. Think of fort wilderness as a really nice state park with Disney amenities. If staying during March and April Disney releases 20% coupon for rv and tent sites and they constantly have 25% coupons for cabins but it's still expensive for cabins. Great video explaining.

Thanks so much for the comment!! And for the great tips on camping. Just another great reason for us to get an RV…which I am totally trying to talk Chris into!! And yes, this one for me is definitely one to try and get on discount. The kitchen was awesome with a baby but there are definitely better options for the price!! Thanks so much for your kind words and for checking out our video 💜

Well, that answered my question about paying for parking at the cabins. Thanks! Edit- The biggest reason we're staying at the Cabins is for the privacy. My mom is a very light sleeper and I will snore, talk, and SING in my sleep so we need separate sleeping quarters. My family has taken a lot of vacations in the past I know my mom has gotten very little sleep, especially when we went actual camping in our RV and my mom couldn't sleep due to my snoring.

The cabin will be a great option for you guys!! The sleeping quarters and living room are on opposite sides of the cabin. There's also an exhaust fan in the bathroom which gives pretty good white noise too. We put the baby to bed and then with the white noise on were able to cook and watch TV in the living room and he never woke up!! Plus, when we were there is was so quiet outside after dark. I think it really depends on what type of neighbors you get but for us it was much quieter that being in a hotel room. We loved the separation of space and having a kitchen was awesome! This sounds like a great solution for your situation 💜💜 I hope you guys have a wonderful trip! If you think about it, I would love to know your thoughts and experiences after your trip. Be sure to come back and share! 💕

@@MagicalResortsGuide Thank you so much. I did read your other comment too. My family is from Texas and we live outside of San Antonio, so it takes us at least 30 minutes to get someone in town, so I am very use to traveling long distances just to get to a destination on a daily basis. How were the crowds? While my whole family is fully vaccinated, I am still a bit nervous when it comes to this pandemic. My family is hoping that by going to Disney in early December before school is out it won't be super crowded. I just don't know if 'less crowded' means if it'll stick be 'packed' by normal standards since in my area we have several theme parks also.
@MagicalResortsGuide3 жыл бұрын
Completely understandable! We are trying to be extra cautious too since we have a little one. We were just there right after the 50th and it wasn't back to what I would consider normal but was a lot more people than a few months, ago especially in Magic Kingdom. We just avoided busy times of day and went back for resort fun, avoided areas or rides that just seemed crowded at that time (and came back to them later), and made HUGE use of Mobile Order. It's not exactly like it use to be but we were still able to have a great time, avoid people if necessary, and still have a lot of fun! 💜

I purchased that fire pit when it was only $87 and it's now $330. One thing, it is really big and ackward to take with you on trips. I recommend a smaller and lighter weight one.
@MagicalResortsGuide3 жыл бұрын
Oh man!! It was under $100 when we looked too. I’ll have to link a couple of different options then. Thanks for the heads up!

The beds in the Cabins can be a problem. There is a twin-sized bunk bed that forces you into a fetal position if you are an adult. The pull-out bed is not that great either. Is uncomfortable and lots of noise in the living room from the AC and the utilities. The cabins do not sleep more than two adults comfortably.
@MagicalResortsGuide2 жыл бұрын
That's very true! We got a good pull out bed (I think it's hit or miss) but that bunk bed is tiny! I'm starting to find that most resorts that sleep large numbers of people are geared more towards large families with kids and not really extra adults. There's normally just one (sometimes two) comfortable sleeping spots for adults! lol Thanks for sharing and checking out our videos! 🎉

If I rent a golf cart can I just park it at the boat launch to go to Magic Kingdom for the day? Or does someone have to drop me off and take the cart back to our cabin?
@MagicalResortsGuide2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can!! There is special golf cart parking by the boat launch, the pool, the restaurants, the bus pick up (to go to other theme parks) and several playgrounds. These are special blocked off areas specially for golf carts. Many of these places don’t have car parking so you would either need a golf cart or need to take the internal bus system. We personally thought the golf cart was the best way to go!! Thanks for stopping in and watching our video. I hope you have an amazing trip! 💜

The best Disney resort imo. Personal space compared to any other resort and it’s unique feel makes it feel like your not even in Disney world but in some far away camping adventure. Recommend renting a golf cart to get around.

YES! We love the immersive camping feel this resort had and agree 100% on the golf cart. It's a MUST!! Thanks for watching our video and sharing. Have an awesome day! ✨
