S C A M A L E R T: Watch out for this scam at the Disney All-Star Movies Resort. At nine AM you'll get a loud knock at the door and an abrasive woman with a thick accent telling you "Housekeeping! It's nine o'clock and it's checkout time! You must leave the premises immediately!" You'll say something like, well give me ten minutes to put my pants on, and she'll scream in a loud, forceful voice. "NO! You must exit the premises now, or we will charge you for an additional day!" Then she tells you to use your latch to keep the door open. Yuck. Turns out, your check out time is 11:00AM, and she knows it. She's a woman who works as a housekeeper in the next resort over, and is friends with her housekeeper coworkers who asked her to come over to wake up the guests and "encourage" early departure. She comes to this resort for a few minutes to rustle people out of bed and threaten them with a false early departure time so they can get a move on, and so the housekeepers can finish in a timely way. Then she leaves, goes back to her resort next door, and no one can identify her or find her. "We have no idea who that might have been", the other housekeepers say. Riiiiight. They have "no idea", even though they told her to do it, they gave her the list of occupied rooms, and they're all in this together. "Sir, we don't know who that was. We all know check out time is 11AM." Pleeze. What a scam. -- She wears no badge when she knocks at the door-- you can't tell what her name is. -- She leaves the resort immediately after knocking on several doors. -- She is verbally forceful and unprofessional, and would never be supported by Disney management. -- Make sure you have your cell phone ready to record her, because without the recording, no one will believe how toxic and abrasive this woman is, and they'll never identify her without a badge. Maybe that's the way Disney wants it. -- When you call Disney Guest Relations they say "Maybe you checked out early and didn't know it." Please, girl,I would know if I checked out, or if i pressed the check out button. Besides, I was still able to use the open door feature to get back in the room afterward. -- When you call Disney Guest Relations they say, "We do have someone at 9AM who knocks on doors of rooms that have checked out early. " Well, this doesn't make sense. Why would a housekeeper be angry at a guest that had the courtesy to check out early and notify the hotel management? That's not something to be reprimanded about, and certainly doesn't deserve threats of additional nights being charged. Makes no sense. Guests who check out early are likely already vacated from the room, not hangers on who need a reprimand. --If you get her on tape, you can probably have her arrested for verbal assault. Yes, it's that forceful. Really awful. And no, it's not funny.

I stayed at the 101 Dalmations one in 2000 with my family. I was 3 1/2 and I remember the Woody in front of the Toy Story Resort scared the absolute crap out of me and gave me high-fueled nightmares!

One of the most beautiful resorts at Disney World. Its weaknesses are compensated by its abundant strengths. Nothing compares to the aesthetic of the Pacific Northwest.

I took a bus to Hollywood studios it was cool only two others on bus it was 25 min ride pleasant we enjoyed it.

Great vid I agree either way you. The grand wasn’t as grand on outside as poly which was lush either flowers or plants but still beautiful like great gasby it felt to me. We own here as well as poly but poly food option made us want grand Floridian more. Now all rooms are renovated but much needed. I’m not sure how folks can afford $600-1200 rates frankly.

It's a room category when booking. Book a preferred room instead of standard. I booked here for our next trip and paid for preferred for medical reasons.

I wish you’d give more details like what time your reservation before Epcot was and how long it took to get served. I’m scared there won’t be enough time to get served and make it before rope drop. Ty though

if we have dining reservations at a different resort how would you suggest getting there? For example, we are planning to have brunch at olivias cafe and we are staying at all star movies.

Ok, first off, brunch at Olivia's is one of my favorite!! Great choice 💜 Secondly, there aren't any direct routes so this would be my suggestions: 1. Get a Minnie Van or Lyft. This option isn't free but will be the fastest, most direct route. 2. Take the Disney busses from All-Star Movies to Disney Springs, then transfer to the Old Key West Bus (or take the water Ferry) to get to Olivia's. This would probably be your best free option but I would just suggest to build in some extra time in your schedule to account for waiting to transfer transportation options. 3. If you happen to go to a theme park in the morning (or a theme park bus is coming to your resort faster than the Disney Springs bus), you can always take the Old Key West bus from any of the theme parks. I would definitely check with the resort while you are there and see when the buses plan to arrive compared to when you need to be at brunch. Disney Springs opens later than the theme parks so sometime those buses don't start running a little later. I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, just let me know. I’m not staying on site I’m staying at a different resort and they do have a shuttle maybe you should do a little bit more research not everybody want to stay onsite.

Thanks for the feedback! This video is specifically about the transportation options offered by Disney. Independent resorts may offer additional transportation but this isn't provided by Disney and is why we didn't cover it in this video. But we would love to explore some of the Good Neighbor Hotels close to Disney in the future. If we do, we will be sure to make an additional video about transportation options that those hotels offer. 💜

Can't you get a monorail to the Transportation Ct and then get to Epcot, from the Magic Kingdom? Or is it all buses to the other 3 parks?

The resort offers buses to Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. These will be the fastest and most direct route for you. Technically you could take the monorail, but it's going to take you an additional stop. The monorail doesn't connect to this resort sadly. But if you wanted to ride on the monorail, you could take the ferry to the Magic Kingdom and then transfer to the monorail and head towards Epcot. I don't think it would be the fastest option but definitely a more relaxing one imo 🩷

Is there transportation from disney resorts to Disney springs and the water parks?

YES! All Disney resorts have a bus that goes to Disney Springs and the Disney water parks. Depending on the time of year, sometimes this is a shared bus and you will need to transfer buses at DS but your bus driver will be able to tell you that before getting on. We love both Disney Springs and Typhoon Lagoon (especially in the summer) so we use the buses to get there a lot!

I always stayed at Pop Century on my Disney trips. I either take the bus or Sky Liner to other parks and DSprings. Food area is good, arcade is fun, walking trails was enjoyable. When I go back I’ll stay there again💙🔥

I agree, we really like this resort for a value resort option! These "issues" don't really bother us but we have heard from other people they were frustrating for them. But Pop is always a winner for us!

From MCO, there are Mears busses that will take you to your Disney hotel for a fee. It will also take you back to the airport at the end of your trip.

I can't personally recommend a service bc we always drive to WDW. But I do know Mears runs a service, there are private companies that run specific Disney transfers, or you could pay for a Lyft. I would be hesitant to recommend one though since I haven't personally experienced it. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help!

Yes, definitely!! If it's a closer walk to one of the other All-Star resorts, you can jump on the bus there! Always save your legs when you can!! lol

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Yes, I always call about 2 weeks in advance and ask for the room request to be added to my reservation. They can't guarantee that you will get it but they always say they will try their best. 🩷 I have tried the fax/email method I have seen online but that didn't work was well for me. Calling has given me the best luck!

It depends on how you get there honestly. Disney doesn't typically mind for you to tour the grounds but they do have a security gate at the front of the property. If you are coming from a theme park or Disney Springs by bus you won't have a problem getting directly to the resort. If you are driving or coming with a ride service, it will depend on the security officer and how busy the resort it at the time. If you are staying at another resort, I would suggest going to Disney Springs and then taking a bus over to take a look around. 💜
