Disney's Old Key West 1 Bedroom Villa | ROOM TOUR 2023

We just stayed at Bay Lake Tower’s 1 bed villa and can vouch that some of the rooms (not all) have a walk in laundry room. LOVE this tour. Would love to try staying here when my kiddos are older and I’m not lugging a double stroller on the bus 😂

Oh yes! I forgot about BLT having the dedicated laundry rooms! 🙌🏼 For sure, the buses can be a hassle, but these villas are HUGE and perfect for families wanting to spread out 😍

@@Mikaleyrucker hey! So I actually think the main tower would have been a bit much for us personally. The contemporary has a very bustling high energy feeling to it with all that goes on there- monorail in and out (which was my oldest’s FAVE thing to watch)Contempo Cafe and Chef Mickeys and even the gift store being all open in there. I would worry it would be loud. Bay Lake was such a quick easy walk over to the main tower but had a more quiet laid back feel. And we personally enjoyed Bay Lake’s pool better than Contemporary’s. Cool fact tho- if you stay at Bay Lake you can use the pools at BOTH Bay Lake and the Contemporary AND the splash pad (which my toddler LOVED). If you stay at the Contemporary- you can only use the Contemporary’s pool. I do wish there had been a grab and go place or coffee place in Bay Lake. All food is over at the Contemporary. Just my 2 cents. ❤

We stayed in the Old Key West 1BR villa last month for vacation. We were in 3425, exactly the area that we requested. We have a family of 5...me and my husband, our two adult daughters and our 8 year old daughter. We LOVED it!! I wish we had planned a resort day so we could enjoy the villa more. Having a washer and dryer was Soooo incredible. We would definitely stay again!! Love love love 💕💕💕

I fell IN LOVE with Old key west! We got back about a week ago. I was shocked at how much space there was!! We were a party of 6 and still had lots of storage space! We did have the one entrance to the bathroom so that was the only thing I didn’t like. Also, it was SO WONDERFUL to meet you and your family at the pool! I hope you guys had a fantastic time! We had a hard time with the heat but it was still a great trip😊

When you showed the patio I noticed a ton of scaffolding at the next building over. Is OKW under construction/refurb? As you know, I'm already praying🙏 for a pixie dusted upgrade to a 1BR for our anniversary trip in May. This video makes me wish I'd booked it, but rented a studio since it's for ten days. Good thing we're the rope drop to park close people😂 Ellie to so sweet waving and saying hi!!!😊💐🏝🏖😊

They were doing some exterior maintenance on that specific building for some reason. The resort is not under construction though ☺️ The studios are still massive! You will love it!!!

Yes! Great call out about the bathroom access. I am the type that does a middle of the night bathroom break and when I stayed over the summer, I had to walk into my sister and her husband’s room to use it at night while they were sleeping…did NOT like that

Hi I have always liked the look of Old Key West from previous videos I have seen. I do have a question. Do the rooms at Old Key West open out to the outside? Meaning there is not an internal hallway from the rooms?

Yes! Old Key West has an outdoor apartment style layout, so all rooms have an exterior entrance ☺️

When you are staying with DVC points, housekeeping comes on day 4 and 8 ☺️

There are only a few buildings with elevators. If you request an accessible room, they will make sure you are either on the first floor or in a building with an elevator ☺️

If you’re willing to pay more, I would Boardwalk for the location! But if you’re looking for something with more space and more affordable, go OKW!
