This is a full resort tour of Disney’s Pop Century Resort. Pop Century is one of the Value resorts at Walt Disney World, and all of the rooms here have been completely refurbished. It is located near Hollywood Studios and Epcot, and has access to the Disney Skyliner for transportation to those 2 parks. Pop Century is a whimsical Enchanting place for in your face nostalgia and Disney... I wouldn't exactly call it a value resort, as they are others that are more practacal and trully offer more bang for your buck, some offer complimentary breskfast... Pop Century is still very delightful, I enjoyed the atmosphere .💝

We stayed there in 2019 and just loved it! I especially liked the way it is lighted up at night, the fun music, Skyliner, and food court. The walk around the lake is great too with the nice walkway and interesting historical signs to read along the way. Your video was fun to watch and I sure missed a lot of things. That's correct - the only Disney transportation from Pop Century to Magic Kingdom is the bus. You can also drive, but that requires parking at the TTC to and taking a monorail or ferry boat to Magic Kingdom, so we definitely recommend the bus!

Do you know if the pool is heated? Also if your flight arrives in the early morning do you know if they allow early check in or the bell hop will hold your bags?

Hi Emily! All Disney resort pools are heated to 82º, including those here at Pop Century. Just keep in mind that 82 isn't all that warm if it's cold outside 🙂 As for early arrival, you can do online check-in on the Disney app or website, and tell them your estimated arrival time. They will do their best to have a room ready early for you, but there are no guarantees. If your room isn't ready when you arrive, Bell Services will always take your luggage and hold it for you until it is. At that point you can pick it up or have them bring it to your room. Don't forget to tip the bellhop!

I have a question about the Skyliner. For example if I stayed at Pop Century is it possible to use to skyliner to go to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios instead of taking the resort bus? And obviously again for when the parcs close...could I then use the skyliner to get back to Pop Century?x

Yes. The Skyliner goes to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Normally it’s the only way to get to those parks from Pop Century, but due to longer lines recently, they’ve added bus transportation as well. 😊 They run in the morning 30 minutes to an hour before park opening and until about an hour and a half after park close. They’ll have signs showing the times that day that they’ll run as they’ve been changing based on need.

I want to go super bad!! i'm planning on going for my 16th birthday with my best friend and family, but it's like a year and some months away xD. My mom said if its affordable then we are able to go for my sweet 16 if i get my schoolwork done for the week ahead! The reason im planning from now is because of covid and stuff so I don't wanna go to the park with a mask or anything, and my mom has asthma so she's high risk, so i'm hoping everything will go back to normal by 2022 early september lol! Disney does Florida resident rates throughout the year. It’s different at different times, so you would just have to check as your trip gets closer to see what’s available. Hope it works out!

Honestly, staying at a value resort would be my last choice. Mostly because I can't do a lot of rides so I would be hanging out at a resort, so I want it to be fairly nice. But, if you have a family with young kids, it would definitely be a contender with the other Value resorts.

Would you prefer Art of Animation or Pop Century?

It depends on the party size and ages. Art of Animation is way more themed in the rooms, but it’s also much more expensive than Pop. If you have kids and need two bathrooms, Art is a great option and sleeps up to 6. Pop only sleeps up to four people, but you still get access to the Skyliner and it has fun activities there as well.

I stayed at AOA and it was amazing. They have multiple pools themed to the movie “set” you stay in. I haven’t stayed in any of the rooms in Pop, but the food was pretty good (we went to Pop for dinner one night) but I preferred the options at AOA better. The lights everywhere were awesome and it looked amazing. At AOA, you can hear music underwater,as of 2018. But overall I think it just depends on what you want/like and how big your family is. AOA is more movie based and even has the army guys from toy story sometimes.
