As a woman we have Zena and Buffy. Characters that were met to be strong, but also had kindness. Snow White was suppose to be sweet. Instead she comes across as mean.

My issue with this film is that it looks like one of those budget versions of kid movies I grew up hating. The CGI looks horrifying, and the whole thing is just off. I could overlook all of the changes (I'm admittedly not the biggest Snow White stan anyway, but it's fine), the "live action" one is just so off-putting, visually and in tone, that I have no interest in wasting north of an hour and a half on it.. the drama surrounding it is much more entertaining than I can imagine the film will be.

It's not SNOW WHITE - It's "Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs" - and it's the story of how the dwarfs love her and protect her and weep when they think she's died. It's not all about her character, it's about the essence of the material. If the Dwarfs turn out to be "just characters" then they will have ruined this entirely.

I am interested to see what you are talking about when you say that this film is a “woke” take on “Snow White”. The classic story is the classic story. I want to see where and when it is set. I want to see if Snow White is an abused princess or troublemaker, organizing woke servants against their masters. I want to see the secret agenda and hidden messages that Disney has implanted in this movie in order to subtly criticize American society. I want to see how Disney really screw up a classic, and the effort it took to do it. I’ll say this- I loved the latest trailer for the film!

I mean, you CAN make a stonger evrsion of Snow White still, even keeping her inocence. Maybe making her some kind of "girl of the forest" who learned with the dwarfs about how the woods work, know how to interact with animals and move across the wilf life, so she would start becoming some kind of "spirit of nature". That would even make for the queen easier to know what happened with Snow White and will try to kill her, perhaps not using the same poisoned apple trick but something else still considering our protagonist is yet inocent and even thought she knows how to live in the nature, she still would fall into any of the queens trick. But even there and before the final kiss. SW could be referenced as an even more valuable figure who learned about a different world (the woods) and managed to be a link between her origin place and her new found home.
