You may be right about Raven being a GOAT in her own right but I laughed when you said it while she's onscreen with Julie Andrews.. If you want to talk about a GOAT status, Julie Andrews was pregnant when Walt Disney approached her about playing the role of Mary Poppins and his response to it was that they'd wait because he knew that she was the only one he wanted to play that part after he worked for 20+ years to get to produce it.

That is interesting because Walt Disney was after PL Travers for 20 years to get her to give him the rights to produce Marry Poppins. I guess one more year for Julie Andrews would be reasonable under those circumstances. And he did create an amazing classic in both story and lead role. She is amazing.

Yes, yes, yes. I cried when Julie did that number. It was Raven who took the melody because Julie's legendary five octave vocal range was gone. It hurt my heart that she could only sing a small range and mostly speaking the lyrics. But her performance was still classic Julie and I will love her forever.

In answer to your question on if this was a theatrical release or TV release, it was released in theaters. I remember going to go see it and how it was the first time I ever saw Raven in a theater released movie. I know it wasn't her first but it's the first that I saw her in. Also, it's worth acknowledging that the singing number with Raven and Julie Andrews was a huge core moment cause it's the first time Julie has sung since her botched throat surgery back in the late 90s. People thought she could never sing again but she clearly can! She can't do her signature higher notes but she can do the lower notes. Also Julie's line "I've done a lot of flying in my time" was a reference to Julie's previous Disney role Mary Poppins!

I remember hearing my parents talking about how Julie couldn't sing anymore, and I asked what they were talking about because she sang in this movie. They were convinced I was confused, and said that wasn't possible. They (understandably) didn't believe me until I had them watch it with me. They then explained to me about the surgery, and had me watch The Sound of Music for the first time. I had no idea about the powerful voice that she had back in the day.

Not sure if anyone has suggested already but Julie Andrews has done a lot of musicals! She’s most well known for Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music (both are great films) but aside from those two, I highly recommend Victor/Victoria as well! Also at 24:33, “I’ve done a lot of flying in my time” is a little cheeky nod to Mary Poppins. 🤭

Fun fact they were also in Hannah Montana, originally Paul was cast as their neighbor for I believe just one episode they later decided to bring the character back but Paul had been cast in Hairspray on broadway and couldn’t do it, luckily he had an Identical twin to step in.

When I'm tired or depressed, I'm definitely clumsy. One time, I knocked over my full glass of diet coke at a restaurant three times. Last summer my family went to Iceland and I ate shit on the very first day. I bloodied up my knees and hands. Then I fully fell to the ground two more times over those 10 days and stumbled many times. I was in serious pain just walking around by the end. 99% of the time, I'm maybe slightly careless but when I get into a certain state, I can do some real damage.
