@SWAGGSKITTLES I've only been to WDW too. I rode it twice, I LOVED it! I guess I just like that feeling in my stomach, lol. I loved how you just flyyy in the air it was fun :D Oh, and if you ever go on Expedition Everest again- Ride in the front! I rode it for my 20th time this past trip, and about 7 of those times I rode in the front. You can even see epcot and a couple of resorts from the very front! It was amazing!

@Joisushi The tower itself is 199 feet (60.7 meters). ToT was programmed to give a random drop sequence, so, the drop height varies. The length, however, (time-speaking) is about 3 seconds.

It's explained in earlier posts... This was a special event for cast members - celebrating the 15-year anniversary of the attraction. The lights were purposely turned on for this and Rock'n Roller Coaster. Cool video! :-)

The same thing happened to me when I went once, but we were stuck during the corridor scene. We actually had to get out of the elevator, and that gave me a chance to walk around the set. It was so cool.

@MrLFCJack same with me dude. I used to gab the bar so much i wrapped myself around it practically. Each time the last drop back then just went up and down without stopping and i felt like i was upsidown

This ride has different drop sequences u never know how many times u will go up and down it is the best at night!

@Hi9045 I think so. I rode tower of terror the first time when I was about 5 and loved it. It is a fantastic ride. The line is incredible and the special effects still stun me. The drops are only part of the ride, and they're not as bad as they are cracked up to be. Just hold on and smile for the cameras! Oh and the screams you hear from the line... They're fake too.

so your really on flat ground when you go out into the twilight zone. thats cool! I live near Disneyland so i go there, I want to go to MGM to go on this one. Next time when you go on the Califronia adventure one, look up when you pull back... you'll notice somthing diffrent.

But I rode expedition everest 7 times and rock n' roller coaster once, and would ride both again... Anyway, my question is, should I ride this ride? Or would I be ok riding it? Thanks.

I'll answer for you, not sure. This elevator falls faster than gravity, and it does multiple randomized profiles, 4 to be exact.

To answer everyones question, the lights are on for one simple reason: Cast Member Night. Cast member night = rides with lights on. I've done it with Dinosaur.

Disney Designers desgined the ride to be deifferent every time guests enter the ride. Thats why the lights are on.

i rode this when i was 9 (now 21) and now i'm scared to death of elevators because of it lol. We're going back this year in december and they said they changed it since way back when and its not as intense now so i need to ride it. sigh guess i'll have to suck it up.

Maybe the dispatch failed, so the lights came on automatically. They usually come on when the elevator stops in the middle of the track in the 5th Dimension Scene.
