Before the ride, universal had the “mummy maze”… like a walkthrough haunted house with actors who would jump out and scare guests. Whenever I worked that attraction, I was always in the 2nd floor/elevator exit position. We had to have a staff member there, cause one of the actors, my friend dave, would jump out and startle guests dressed in a mummy themed costume… but he was only about 3 feet tall, so my job was to make sure nobody kicked him when startled. It happened a lot. Glad they changed the attraction.

I remember me and my family went to Universal Studios back in like 2012. Me and my oldest son decided to get on this ride because we liked the Mummy movies. Now, he had never, ever been on a ride of any kind in his life at this time. I think he was about 11, 12. We had no idea what this ride was. Those who are scared of darkness please don’t go because you will be traumatised.it’s very scary when the lights are turned off and you will feel like you are dead and there are sudden brakes and acceleration and some fire effects which will make you uncomfortable but the ride is so cool, If you are ready to experience this things ,definitely you need to try this .
