I loved treasure planet ever since I was a kid. Yes, I did have a crush on Jim Hawkins and plus one time. I actually wanted to meet him at Disneyland as one of those super rare character Days but I didn’t get the chance to

@@jamieharrell5321 eh, I think Jim’s a bit of a product of the times, though his rebellious nature does work with the character development with Silver

Here’s one benefit I think the ps1 game has over the ps2 game: the flatter looking textures more closely resemble the look of the movie. They give everything a painterly look.

That is a good point although I do like the look of the PS2 game.

The PS2 game is a lot more like the movie, it's pretty good
@gamerhero95593 жыл бұрын
@@idonthaveanose Thanks for your inputs for both games. This version is a lot easier than other platformers I played. I remembered I can skipped the forest level and just play the last level in a race to escape the titular planet so I don't have to do the stealth mission.

Same. I wish could play the PS2 version as well.

There's some stuff that I feel like that was cut from the final game. Like there's a 3d Model for Mr. Arrow in the model viewer in gallery section, but the only time he's in the game is the Main Menu and a movie clip for The Legacy level (Level 6), which made me wonder that he would appear more in the game and if you go in the sound option menu and if you go down to the speech volume option, Dr. Doppler, would say: 'Jim, can we leave now? I really think that this planet is going to explode!' And when I first played this game I thought that Dr. Doppler was going to be at the exit for the Treasure Planet Level (Level 8) because other games developed by Magenta Software has characters saying stuff in the speech option that they would say later in the game, but when I noticed that B.E.N was at the exit, I was confused and I immediately thought that Dr. Doppler was originally going to be at the exit for that level. Some really interesting stuff that people should talk about.

I always noted the lack of Mr Arrow in the main game! And good point about the Doppler voiceover! I think you might be right and they exchanged him for BEN.

Ah, Magenta Software. Literally making the same game every time. XD See this, Stuart Little 2 and Muppet Monster Adventure.

Yeah, this game just doesn't feel like Treasure Planet at all! I'm intending to review the PS2 game at some point.

This looks like a Spyro clone, right down to the Text boxes

Well the PS2 game was a Jak and Daxter clone, so its fitting I guess

I find this Treasure Planet game really corny and so different in tone to the movie but I love it in a sort of ironic way. I used to play it a lot as a kid but it is pretty simple

I would agree with that! I tell you what, I'll add that to my requests. I've got a couple of others currently on the way, but I'll see what I can do with that one. ;)

Thanks man, I look forward to what you have planned. Love these videos since I played a lot of the games while growing up but some of the PS1-PS2 transitional era games were the sort I was slowly growing out of. Now it is interesting to look at what I missed out on and if there were any gems. My friend had the PS2 Treasure Planet game and I don't remember a whole lot about it.

I love making this stuff and while I don't have a very big audience, it's a faithful one, and comments like this make it all worth it. It's kinda nice having a small group of people following me. :P If you haven't already, take a look at some of my earlier videos - the quality of the 'vlog' segments dips a little as for a long time I was using a webcam, and an old, free video editor. Thanks for showing an interest! As I say, I have a couple of games to review first and depending on how much time I have, I might not get round to Atlantis for a short while. But I will do it as part of this series. :)
