Anyone else ever find the easter egg on one of the Treasure Planet surface levels? In the level 'Gateway to Below', near the portal there is a pad that allows morph to change into a jetpack. It's located under the archway in the wall above the portal. Once the jetpack is equipped step out from under the archway, turn to face in on the archway and boost upwards. There is a hole in the cliffside above the archway filled with blue energies that spell out "Hi" from the developers. Not sure if I'm the first to uncover this, but I thought it was a pretty cool find :)
@babbisp13 жыл бұрын
I had noticed this as a kid, though I don't remember noticing the word "hi" as such. I was just wondering what the point of it all was. One blue thingy is enough to restore your health, so putting them together felt very pointless. Still, I liked the sound of picking them all at once.

Also I think the Reason skateboards were so popular in the early 2000's is because Tony Hawk was big at the time especially with his video games.

Games based on movies are quite interesting. They have this reputation of being rushed and copying what's popular at the time. One of my favourite games for the PS2 is in fact a licensed game. The game for the first Spongebob movie. Every now and again my siblings and I start up the PS2 and play through it again. I just recently learned that the game re-used a lot from "Battle for Bikini Bottom" for PS2. As a kid I only played the PC version of that game, so they looked very different. Glad to see the game for Treasure Planet, one of my favourite movies, is also one of the better licensed games. Very good review, keep it up! And on a side note, I was very surprised too see my name in the credits. Was a bit confused and thought "Wait, what did i do?". Thanks for the shoutout, was a pleasant surprise!

I had the game based on the SpongeBob movie which, based on my understanding, used most of the assets and mechanics from Battle for Bikini Bottom but within the setting of the film. And yeah, I wish I had a better way to thank everyone for the support they you all show me but I figured the arcade credits would be a fun way to go about it

@@Wayneisboss I only saw one video about the PS2 version of BfBB and didn't play it myself, but yeah, it looked like the same game in a different setting. I gained a lot of subscribers from my Spider-Man game reviews but as much as I love the wall crawler, I wanted to work on videos that for my passions and interests and not just what gets the most views. Unfortunately for me as a kid I didn’t know there was a treasure planet movie, I would’ve went crazy if I knew that. Didn’t watch till like a year or so ago & wow; but when I first had my ps2 on Christmas with need for speed & ape escape. I just loved playing the game; constantly too replaying the levels, listening to the music, & making memories. 5:50 I get your point, but you understand though that all platformers involve colleting things, and all platformers got that from Mario? So, I wouldn't call it "stealing", I'd call it "part of the genre"
@Wayneisboss4 жыл бұрын
One thing to keep in mind is that I didn't just bring mention to the collect-a-thon element. Obviously the majority of 3D platforms will contain that but you'll still feel a pretty distinct difference in gameplay playing Banjo Kazooie vs playing Mario 64. That's why I also mentioned the types of collectibles. Level structure and overall control. Most 3D platforms will have similar feels but it's the differences in those other elements that will help them stand out. But in pretty much every criteria (especially controls and character animations) it's very clear a lot of notes were taken from Jak and Daxter. Also worth noting is that I don't even consider this a big deal in the grand scheme of things. I love J&D so having a game based on a movie I love that also plays like a game I adore is all good in my book
