8:59 When I went to Typhoon Lagon back in July 2009, they had a Disney Cast Member taking photos of you when the giant scary wave coming towards you. He would snap the photo before the wave crashes on you and had a waterproof camera. Then your photos get developed with the Disney Photo Pass and you have this giant monster wave coming towards you behind you in the photo. My parents still have that photo.

I miss River country, that was always my fave, and it was nice back in the day we always had 3 water parks to go to at disney on our holiday which we always did! I hated the sharks!!! proper fear that was for me i had a panic attack, but i made it to the other side as fast i could!

Just checked the Ticket vendors for UK residents. They now sell the Disney tickets with the wording of one Waterpark open out of the two depending on Season. This is a major change and just makes Disney look poor value for money given the increases in cost.

When I went to florida in 2019, I spent a morning in blizzard beach and all I did was a big raft slide. It was probably a bit like miss adventure falls

That wave pool made me nostalgic for the one that Geauga Lake had in the 80s and 90s. All the waves were big waves. They started out probably twice the height of this one. The scrapes from the bottom of the pool on your back, elbows, and knees were a badge of honor. It's a wonder that anyone my age survived being a kid lol.

Charlotte is doing brilliantly now with water slides and rides 👏 I did the big wave pool in 1999 with my dad, never again! We were ready to swim with it but I ended up going under and a woman who was much larger than myself came over the top of me and landed on me holding me under, I was terrified. It is shame only one water park seems to open at a time now, was the same on my last trip in Sept 2016, going again next Sept and my husband really wants to see blizzard beach! Enjoying this series a lot and getting lots of tips! 😊

Yep I swam over the sharks… you could go at fast or as slow as you wanted.. was a cool attraction. Probably not great for the animals but I enjoyed it

I remember snorkeling with the sharks when I was a youngster. Maybe 5/6 years old. There were two 'lanes' and an employee who shouted the safety instructions at you. "DO NOT KICK YOUR LEGS - DO NOT SIT ON THE ROCK - DO NOT TOUCH THE FISHES" on repeat, the entire time we were there. I remember "funnel cake too". Like a thinner 5 foot long spaghetti shaped 'churro' with icing sugar. Best thing I ate the whole holiday. We have video of it but they're all still on VHS.

I went to typhoon lagoon around 2010 and It had the snorkeling still operating it was brilliant. Sad that it's gone now

I remember going to Typhoon Lagoon in 1993 and not been back since but I do remember the waves were quite big but every now and then a claxon would sound and water would shoot out of the funnel of ship on top of the rock and a huge wave would come out like a tsunami. At 24 and a relatively confident swimmer, i remember struggling to stay in the deep area and bottled it back to the safety of the shallows. It seems a lot bigger now and we never went to Blizzard Beach (which was also open back then) and definitely need to go back. Great Vlog guys as always👏👍

Haven’t been to Typhoon lagoon since August 2018 used to swim so far into the wave pool where the wave is at it’s biggest and I enjoyed it it was alot of fun

I did the swimming with sharks in 1998. I was 8. They told you not to kick your legs but I did and I ended up getting rescued by the life guard as I couldn’t swim that well and I wasn’t moving. My dad swam across quick and left me 😂 You can imagine my mums reaction on the side. Fuming haha

Another great video 😊 Went to Typhoon Lagoon when I was in my teens. Remember swimming on the huge wave and getting scraped on the rough floor too! Also the shark snorkelling was there too. Didn’t do it as it was an up charge but have memories watching people doing it.

Yes saw the shark snorkeilling pool in 2003. But we had our 3 year old son with us and just took him inside the Sub and viewed through the windows. Discovery Cove or the Red Sea (Egypt) are the places to go if you want a excellent Snorkelling experience.

Nice vlog, wow that wave does go quite high, nice themed park aswell, love it. Lot of slides I would go on here, yeah think they need more slide additions here in future maybe a drop slide where floors drops below, more body slides and more different experiences. Love the theming, paths that interact with theming especially path that goes beside the lazy river. Looks cool. Loved vlog, look forward to more in future & congrats on getting Silver. Was expecting Gold really, but yeah still a good achievement, maybe next year? Cheers again. 😀👍

Last time I went to typhoon lagoon was in 1990, not sure if it still does it but every now and then loads of water would shoot out of the funnel on boat on top of the volcano/rock thing. I also went to Disneys River Country on that holiday, great memories

I always enjoy typhoon or blizzard as a bit more relaxing time ( we usually still go to parks after). My husband and sons love being in the big wave in the wave pool but I tend to stay about half way ( scrapped toes had before) or sit on the edges and just get the end of the wave. I also love the lazy river, my type of water ride but I usually do the family raft ride but last time I got the giggles at the end as I couldn’t get myself out of the raft 😂😂 I remember doing the snorkelling years ago.

I did the shark reef swim lots of times when I was a kid. I used to love it. I’m hoping people are starting to realise Disney are completely ripping us off now with the horrendous prices they are now charging and starting to boycott the place. Can’t believe I’m saying that as I still think it’s an amazing place but I can’t handle the prices they charge now with a lot less perks than we used to get

If you two go back there again, i suggest you go walking up round the back of the Wave pool ...climbing to almost reach the Tugboat....from there you get some great Camera coverage photos...especially if it's a beautiful blue sky day.

I am a swimming instructor and ex lifeguard and always had a fear of my own strangely, I do go on water rides but get extremely afraid in deep water and rides, people think I’m so strange haha. April 2018...was the last time I visited Disney. I preferred Blizzard Beach at that time because they were allowing you to take the inflatable rings into the main wave pool....which was a added attraction from my previous visits.

@@TD75 yes I'd say it is slightly better there. They'd give you a digital speed number you reached at the bottom..my best was 44. The slightly lower bump one...gives air time, giving a extra thrill.
