Henry Calvin is so much fun to watch.

I flinched when I heard that, too. XD What a thing to say to your son, no matter how disgusted you are with him.

"With my own eyes, I have not seen them!" Really admire Henry Calvin's comic timing and how he worked his "weight" for laughs. He and Gene Sheldon took the edge off some intense situations on the show and made it bearable for younger viewers.

Yes Iov3d him. He was a wonderful comic actor and a great singer. He really helped make the series great.

"For one moment tonight, I almost felt what it is like for a father to be proud of his son." OUCH. I read somewhere that "Parents know how to pull on our heartstrings because they're the ones who tied them there." Don Alejandro surely proved THAT!
@lauragraves43424 жыл бұрын
I bet he regretted saying that later on when he realized Diego was Zorro.

oops i posted already, i wanted to add: Especially Don Alejandro's orange with black is great! And i just love Garcia, when he tries to cover himself with hay! xd

Anyone else watch the bit where Diego ties on his mask repeatedly? We hardly ever get to see him dressed as Zorro but without the cape and mask, damn he looks fine!
@Rogue8493 жыл бұрын
Fine as heck!! That's why I love that episode where he goes to a cave, the one about the gold. He fights with a knife, no cape, no hat and no mask. Oh, my heart.

@@Rogue849 Oh yeah, 'The Secret of the Sierra', that was a great episode! It was fun watching Diego charm the old gypsy mystic as himself not Zorro, and he looked great in that knife-fight scene! But he always looked great; I won't watch an episode for a while, then all it take is for Guy Williams to walk onscreen and I get aflutter all over again - what a handsome man!

The show just wasn’t the same without Monasterio. Though he wasn’t hero of the show it still felt like the rest of the episodes wasn’t complete with his character gone.

"Oh, no, Commandante, I have taken a special precaution! I have instructed each man NOT to move until all the OTHERS have moved FIRST!" Oh, sergeant, that sounded SO sensible - until I think it through and realize it means NO ONE'S going to move . . . AT ALL! :) (Monastario thought the same thing - you can see it on his face. First he's all smiles . . . and then the implications hit him!)

that line makes me mad because everybody knows that as Zorro he has the same feelings as his father

So did I. But the actor playing Monastario (Britt Lomond) was an American and probably didn't know Spanish, so his pronunciation might be misleading. ;)
@marianaluduena87339 ай бұрын
Yes it is, my mother language is spanish and I notice Britt had a strong american accent speaking spanish. But still we really love him as Monasterio ^^ There never will be a best Capitan Monasterio as Britt Lomond was ^^

You know, it occurs to me to wonder - how did that peon get close enough to the main house of the hacienda to be listening at the window? Isn't there supposed to be a wall around the whole compound - or is that gate everyone has to come through to get to the hacienda ONLY around the courtyard and front door of the main house?
@janeiwasduncan84636 жыл бұрын
Hey,walls don't really work. Zorro got over them without trouble. I think every "hero" had barriers that they overcame to achieve their goals.
@Torie359313 жыл бұрын
@AutobotNutcase Yeah. That would hurt to have your father say he wasn't proud of you when Diego was right about exercising caution.

That's only a theory. Real life is far different from this. At high school I was the best in my class and I've never heard from my father any kind words. I was always weak in sports and he hated me for that.

Literally it means "slobbery" (baba = slobber, saliva). However, the meaning is actually metaphorical, i.e. "says stupid things".
