I totally agree with getting the bundle - the boxes have a stiff, sharp handle that get pretty uncomfortable when you're walking around the park. They're also pretty bulky. If you have the coin, the backpacks are worth it.

Yes! The C-series droid heads have blue lights, but the R-series have blue and pink lights. You're going to have a blast making your little Droid -it's a fun experience!

If I was to make a Droid at the Droid Depot, I'd go with the R-Series Astromech. Can't go wrong with the classics.

@@almosttherePOV I would have it be colored purple and white with a clear dome. Also, I’d go with the “Scoundrel” personality chip in order to give it a sassy personality. As for the name, I’d call her R0-X1E or “Roxie” for short.

@@elizabethcoen Oh, I like it! They don't have a purple body - black or blue are the dark colors they have. But you could paint it purple 😉 The sassy scoundrel chips are my favorite, too.

wish i knew ab reservations im going a little less than a week from now and decided i should look and the day im going is all out but im going to at least get a legacy saber!

We had a great time! It takes about 30 min and it's a pretty fun experience, especially for kids. If you have more than one Droid close together, they'll interact with each other, and they interact with other Droids in Galaxy's Edge, too. You can customize your Droid with different color panels, and accessories and there are online tutorials on how to add a weathered look once you bring your Droid home. Have a great time!

@@almosttherePOV i was thinking the clone wars ahsoka ones i saw a vid from a couple days ago that showed they were still there so i hope i can get them if not im not sure ill have to just see what sticks out to me and me and my gf are going she really wants to make a droid so we reserved a spot and i hope were able to do everything we want to do!

@@TrueMeow Those are nice! When we were there to build the C-series Droid in the video, it was late and they may have been letting people in without a reservation. I'm not positive, though. If you really want to build one, you might try and see if they're taking walk-ups at the end of the night.

We are going to make a reservation for Droid depot for late September and we would like to go back to the droid depot (but just the shop) on another day, in case we would like to buy additional merchandising, after we built the droid. But can we walk in the Droid depot without reservation, just to do shopping?

Yes, that's a great idea! It's a store like any other at Disney with the Droid build to one side with a separate queue area. Late September is a good time to visit, too.

What day was this filmed? I'm going in September with the wife and kids and I'm going to do this, but I didn't see the normal astromech blue body and legs, just the new, shorter droid body and legs in your video.

How exciting! This was filmed 7/14/22. It's not unusual for The Droid Depot to run out of certain parts or part colors, especially lately. I'd have 2 different Droid builds/ colors in mind when you're scheduled just in case they don't have the colors parts you're planning on.

We also plan on coming back weekly or so to check out the conveyor belt to look for new parts and update what's available!

Yes! You can make the reservation on your My Disney Experience app. They may be allowing walk-ups (no reservation) now, but for awhile this summer, it was reservation only. What kind of Droid are you planning on building?

which is why I'm scared to go back This replaced my BAY-MAX 😪 but hey I know how robots work and yes Its shown right here how the droids where made note one employee was so rude to me so I blocked him for constant harassment and he or she should've ben fired for that no one outside my family knows what I'm going through only my family knows that and its something people do 247 on you tube rules they break them constantly I do not this is very very nice yellow droid yes I know how droids work exactly even Made a few upgrades on my own R2-D2 but it sucks bay-max well may not be there anymore
