It’s a studio 11:44 😁 we’ve been DVC members since 2003. One year my mom saved all the points to rent a Grand villa for 5 days. We took the whole family. Everyone who had babies was invited. It was a dang town house. There was a balcony over the living room.. three master suites in the whole villa. Old Key West is our home resort. It’s so beautiful quiet. If you want an actual vacation at Disney world where you can rest and relax Old Key West is it. It’s its own little town. Boats go to the springs… I enjoy staying in the very back of the property and walking everywhere. I live in a rural area so pretending I’m living in a little city is beyond fun for me.

My wife is a senior charge nurse in a “real hospital” I’m a nurse in a mental health hospital. So we know how you and your sis feel. Constantly exhausted. We’re staying at Pop century next year but Poly is on the list. AK is our dream. What a beautiful family!

Pop is the resort we stay in most, it’s just hard to beat for the price! We’ve stayed in AKL for one night and it was amazing! You really feel like you’re in a totally different place.

We’re leaving Saturday morning to drive down till next Wednesday. My girl turned 12 in August I her present from my Mom & grandad is the light saber building experience in Hollywood Studios. This girl is so dang excited. We live in Northeast Florida so it’s only about three hours tops depending on if we take 95 or 75 to get there. I do not like to drive down 95 because people drive too fast. I like driving the back roads. It almost feels like we have in our backyard sometimes. we can decide the last minute if we just want to drive down there, we make sure we keep up with our annual Florida resident passes. Now that I’m saying that I wonder if they’re still resident passes I don’t know if they do that anymore.

I was wondering, you mentioned that you requested a specific building, did you find out that you got it upon arrival? I have been trying to figure out how to request a specific room at the beach club. We’re also renting DVC points and my contract states that the renter of the points has no obligation to put in specific requests. Thanks in advance

@@LouiseThompson-j6m From what I’ve found, you can’t add a specific request such as room when renting DVC points without the owners doing it for you. But you can choose from the options Disney provides on the pre arrival check in online or on the My Disney Experience app. It only gave us the options for which DVC building, and if we wanted a ground or higher floor and I just made the requests that would get us closest to the room we wanted! We didn’t know we received our request until we got our room number!

There are not any dressers in the deluxe studio DVC rooms. There is a drawer under the bed but we felt it was in a bad location and hard to access for someone that can’t bend down to reach lower spaces. It was our major con with the room because it’s designed to sleep 5 people, but with no drawers it would be very hard from everyone to unpack and settle in!
