Jashanti Brooks I don't think it's their fault. Most of them had supernatural abilities of their own, so would have ended up in similar situations. Elena still would have been a doppelganger wanted by Katherine, Klaus, the travelers. Bonnie would still be a witch, wanted by the armory, proff. Shane. Tyler could have ended up triggering his Werewolf curse somehow. At first i thought it was their fault as well but i guess mystic fall and the families their, all had secrets and it was probably their fate.

The reason he didn’t just stab her, was because he was already dying from getting the cure for vampirism removed from him. Damon wanted to be the one to sacrifice himself, so Stefan took the cure out of him, and put it into damn and took him outside. He didn’t want Damon to die, and Elena was mortal so Damon was goin to turn mortal at some point to be with her as well. Stefan just moved it up. Hope this helps

To be honest, that was a poor ending for everyone. Bonnie dont get her Enzo back(8 years she sacrificed everything even herself - 3 Times for everyone) Stefan dies, Caroline looses her one true love. Delena didn't say a word to each other after being 2 years apart(5 to be accurate-Damon was unconscious 3 years-season 7) At least Elena reunited with her family and Damon with his brother at the end. I was waiting much more but still, it is better than nothing.

bloveu 01 ian and nina dated for more than 3 years ( 2010-2013) then they broke up because ian wanted to marry and start a family with her but nina wasn’t ready (it’s the « official » reason) they remind good friends after that until nina left tvd after season 6 and ian started to date nikki reed. after 2015 ian started to act disrespectfully towards nina or anything related to elena, delena.. (you can see it on interviews). in 2016 there was an interview of the cast of tvd and the interviewer asked if anybody from the cast will come back for the final ( he clearly meant nina ) and ian clearly was « fighting » with julie plec ( tvd’s producer) about that, i mean if you are married why this is would be a problem if you are professional?? well, everybody have their own theory about the nian drama, mine is that ian didn’t move on and still have feelings for her and can’t admit it to himself, he only married nikki because he was 40 and wanted to have a family. and nina always was professional about that, she was the only who handled it with maturity (during interviews...).

Stefan ending was beautiful him reunited with lexi was cool but he didn't deserve to die. Stefan has sacrificed so much for Damon since Day 1. 1. He handed himself over to Klaus to get the cure for the werewolf bite for Damon forcing him to become The Ripper 2. He let Elena go to be with Damon and ended up drowning for months 3. Getting trapped in the Phinoex Stone to save Damon 4. He sacrificed his happiness with Caroline and got marked by Rayna for Damon - forcing him on the run for three years! 4. He gave himself over to Cade to protect Lizzie and Josie, but also for Damon, forcing him to be a Ripper again. 5. He became human and died for Damon's happiness, sacrificing his own with his WIFE and they'd been married less than 24 hours. Feel free to mention anything I have left out. But I really think Stefan deserved so much better and I guess the only positive was he was at peace with all the guilt and pain he has endured. I just think for him to die was wrong but that's just my opinion.

It's truly sad. I can't say anything because I'm not an actress, but like all jobs, you have to leave drama at the door (haha...well it is drama but you know what I mean). Nina did a beautiful job in this last episode! Ian is a great actor...that's what bothered me is you can tell he's not acting to his full potential. I know it's awkward for them but it's the job...and Nina was able to do it. I was so excited for this too...especially since Stephan and Caroline and Bonnie got screwed over in their endings...blah.

If PPL are spreading 'muck' read in gossip mags. or columns then maybe you had better be absolutely correct in what you are saying. From what I have read and seen the break up happened because Nina wasn't ready to marry and start a family and Ian was. It was a mutual break up, of course painful, but it happens. DON'T put your emotions or someone else's in place of the parties involved, as WE the audience DO NOT what happened we can only speculate. Nina only signed on for the original 6+ seasons that she was there for with the added bonus for the last show. She didn't wish to be pigeon holed in a role. Although I have enjoyed the series, the eye-candy was good, I am just saddened it is slightly different to the books that started it. The slight name changes, character changes, the events changes. and then the story line differences. The whole series is unfortunately only a shadow of the books BUT it has got me to go out and buy all the books so I am able to read the story and can now put a face to some characters. For that I am grateful.

I'd like to rant. First of all, yes Stefan deserved better but he died true to the name 'good brother.' And Paul Wesley did request the death of Stefan in the last episode. Second of all, stop saying that Damon's smile wasn't real enough. Listen, if you had just said goodbye to your brother for the last time - would you be completely and utterly fine? No. It was bittersweet. Yes he wanted elena back, but in the back of his mind he knew that stefan had died for her. Third of all, delena didn't deserve better. Yes it's a true ship, but in the end Delena isn't what this show is about. The books focused on the Salvatore brothers - not the story of delena. I personally loved the ending as it showed the true meaning of peace with family after death and it left us to imagine how damon and elena would've lived their lives. They got married, and Plecc said they had kids.
