Thanks for the video Ashley. I watched your vlog at this excursion and you totally sold me on it. That being said we sail in 50 days!! Would we be able to bring our own snorkel gear to use? Is it weird/unsafe to bring a day bag? Thank you so much for the videos you provide. My husband and I are first time cruisers and can't wait

How exciting! I love this excursion! We always take a bag with us. I never felt worried about it, we just kept it with us and then while on the beach we just put it under our towel on the chair. Only Disney people are around you on the beach for the most part. You can def bring snorkel gear for Castaway.. but for this one, I dont know. I did not see anyone do it. You could always email them and see. That is prob what I would do. Make sure you jump off the side of the boat and dont just walk down the stairs. Oh, and when you jump have your goggles on and your eyes open. Its breathtakingly beautiful!

We are going on our first Disney Cruise on 11/24 and I chose this excursion! I’m a little worried bc I have a 10 & 11 year old boys coming with us. Were there kids snorkeling?

My kids have been swimming since they were born but my son didn't like snorkeling in deep water. My daughter goes wherever I go no matter how deep (usually 15'). It depends on the individual so try going somewhere where they can't see or touch the bottom for a test run, since that seems to be a determining factor for some people (my wife and son). BTW, my kids are now 19 and 15 so we've been snorkeling for years now. Hope this helps.

I would say yes this is family friendly and there were many kids snorkeling! I have taken my daughter who was 7 at the time snorkeling and it was a lot of work for her.. but we also had to swim a lot. During this excursion you dont really have to swim at all, just kind of float. That is, except for swimming back to the catamaran, but you could help them. I think they would have a BLAST sitting up on the top deck of the catamaran and playing on all of the blow up things in the ocean at the beach.

Our December 2017 cruise was changed from eastern to western last minute. We had to book all new excursions too. Was yours cancelled or changed like mine?

Yep, exact same thing as us! I was pretty bummed at first, but we still had such a great time.
