I HAVE FOUND MY PEOPLE!!! Everyone I talk to hates on it but it's SO GOOD. Every song is woven in with each other, it has such an awesome soundtrack. 'I Know it's Today' is my favorite, but 'What's Up Duloc' is a very close second. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves it unironically 😅

I LOVE SHREK THE MUSICAL!!! I actually played Teen Fiona and it will always have a special place in my heart. Finding bootleg costumes like the ones shown here is always a joy to witness, and having it as its own series would make that ever better than it already is. Also, I thought that first Shrek from the Universal stage show was a bootleg or a cosplayer until watching video footage of it in action. As strange as Shrek looks in that show, Donkey looks even weirder with his small face and wide grin contrasting with his fat body.

There's Lord Farquaad. I wish that I could meet him one day. He is the one who controls my emotions and helps me. Love your Dis-tory videos, especially ones with the weirder costumes, so this was totally worth the wait! But I think we need to talk about the Donkey costumes/puppets now. That one in the live show was MASSIVE and made me think of Secretariat from Craig Ferguson’s old show but with teeth. Just the image of that thing the first Shrek costume together, had me laughing so hard. And that donkey puppet with the red eyes... * shivers * good god! It’s like the demon from Insidious. I broke out into “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” when it appeared.

I'm a big fan of the How to Train Your Dragon films and seeing the stiff costume they used for him felt soo off, as much as they got the scales etc right. I only just found your channel - absolutely loving your costume evolution content! I played Gingy in Shrek the Musical a few years ago and was assistant to the head of wardrobe, costuming the whole show of Shrek, especially Shrek himself is SUCH a hard job, even the worst costume on this list was really impressive! But as interesting as the first costume was, Donkey was absolutely terrifying both in that original 'production' as well as his 2003 animatronic (I'm assuming) version

In 2015, I used to be a park attendant at Universal Studios Hollywood. Our outdoor break room was outside next to the extra SpongeBob and Shrek heads..The 2003-2016 Shrek head is the creepiest thing when it’s not moving because it has so much expression in its face. It still haunts me to this day.

I performed as Shrek in London as my first performance job. I remember we used both heads as we had multiple heads to swap over and the old one was a lot easier to see out of. I loved that job.
