Disneyland fireworks have been with us since 1956. A lot has changed since the first fuse was lit. Disneyland fireworks are amazing and fun. Lets take a look at the history of how they got started and why there is a white balloon before each show.

When I first took my children to Disneyland they were 6 and 9. We watched the fireworks and I was so emotional, happy and grateful that I could share that magical moment with my family. We are going again in September. My kids are now 27 and 30. I truly can’t wait to watch the fireworks with them again. This video brought back all the happy tears. Thanks for sharing. Lovely :) Going with my daughter in Sept, went first when she was 5, now she’s almost 22. Went a lot in between, and turns out my husband and our son are not as big fans, ah well. We’re going to have the best time ever ;) Have a great trip!!

I was lucky enough to meet a retired fireman 👨🏿‍🚒 who was in the parks one time, they invite a few of them in every show to ensure that the guests are safe. They’re in plain clothes and just enjoying it. Some more Disney magic!

Love the song “Come on everybody get your ears on!” Is it true that the fireworks are fired off from ToonTown… and that’s why they close early?? 🤔

No the fireworks are not shot off from ToonTown. They are shot off about 100 yards northwest of ToonTown. ToonTown is closed for the safety of guests in case of a last minute wind change.

Having a Disneyland hangover. I just went this last Wednesday to the disneyland park and had a blast. Rise of the resistance was AMAZING. Almost started shedding tears. But I'm sad cuz I must have missed you guys in the park. But I hope to go again sometime soon. Video suggestion: not sure if you've done this but top 10 songs in the Disneyland park.

Although costs are confidential, industry experts put the nightly show between $40,000 and $50,000. Cost is offset by the extra time families spend in the park waiting for them to start in the form of concession sales. Including food and beverages, toys and other souvenirs.

This is why I honestly hate when people complain about how expensive it is. If you bought each form of the entertainment Disney provides individually, it would add up to way more than the daily ticket price. Theme park rides, shows, parades, and fireworks all in one park. I mean a Disney on ice ticket alone is over $100 per person. My 5 day-1 park per day pass is $72 per person per day.

The white balloon will be launched at the right side of the building on main street when you face the castle. On the building that’s very close to that corndog cart. When you stand at jolly holiday you can actually see that balloon hanging on the roof. Usually they would let balloon go 10-15mins before the fireworks.

Backstage at the pyro bunker they have 16 balloons that are released at various intervals starting about 7:30pm. They have to know what direction the wind is blowing. If the wind is blowing too hard into the park the show might be cancelled. If the wind is not blowing hard enough to cancel the show they still may have to shut down Small World and the Train for the safety of the guests.

Provost Park, In the first years of the "Fireworks" they just had a standard County Fair fireworks package. The first time they had special designed fireworks was for the America 200 year celebrations. It took 18 months to make all the red, white and blue fireworks for the nightime display's at D/land and the Magic Kingdom.Cheers, Chris Perry.

its funny I use to work at Target in Santa Fe Springs and when I would do closing shifts and had to get carts in the parking lot I would hear the fire work show going surprising how for sound can travel.

When I went with my oldest son when he was young enough that I had him on my shoulders for the ENTIRE Fantasmic! performance lol In 2020, I took him and his little brother. I cried and cried during the fireworks. We were dead center in front of the Castle just passed Main Street in that huge circle. I realize I've never seen the fireworks from that spot. Everywhere else, yes, even riding Mattahorn and others. I'm crying now remembering every detail while your video is playing! That was one of the very few happy cries I've ever had in my life and it was so very meaningful for me. It was also the last time I got to see my youngest son. Growing up my parents took me to Disneyland hundreds of times, we lived in East L.A. and had annual passes. We also have friends and family still working at both west coast parks. Then I grew up and it had been YEARS since I had been to Disneyland. Reality set in. I live in Phoenix now. Getting there isn't easy anymore. I took my 2 sons everywhere and showed them all the Disney secrets I knew, I admit a handful were thanks to you and this channel. Thank you so very much for doing what you do. I absolutely LOVE your channel. I pray that one day my oldest will take me and his kid to Disneyland. IF he ever has kids lol and I pray my youngest will be with us again. I only have one option at this point..... To wish upon a star......I pray my dreams come true...again.... ⭐ Keep it Magical!!!!!!!!

I just have to say, Disney is hands down phenomenal when it comes to fireworks. This video brought back so many memories of when I saw fireworks at Disneyland during my Disney vacations. Thank you so much for doing this video and sharing the history behind this, I never knew about it. My first ever fireworks show I ever saw at Disneyland was during my teen years and I remember how amazing it was just watching it all. Now at 27, which was last week, I still love Disney fireworks. Disney does a great job putting on these shows. Thank you for enlightening my day! I'm looking forward to more Disney content as always, thank you for being my Disney instructors!

The first time I went in 2014, I was on a serotonin overload by fireworks time! I was with my best friend who I never get to see in person (we live on opposite coasts) it was my first time at Disneyland, and we’d scored a seat right on the rails for Fantasmic. Stayed put for fireworks. I was so happy in that moment, I just started crying about half way through the show and didn’t stop until after it was over. Went back in April of this year (with the same best friend) and got to see Mickey’s Mix Magic! Same exact response! I’m taking my husband next week, and while we’re only getting projections, I AM SO STOKED TO DANCE! Gonna try out watching in front of Small World though!

I love a good fireworks show and Disneyland does a fantastic job, but now it's no longer just fireworks and it's impossible to see everything. I'm an old party pooper, I'll hit all the attractions that normally have long lines during the fireworks and parades. Although, my favorite memory is when the Mine Train thru Natures Wonderland came to a stop in the Living Desert while the fireworks were going on.

My company makes most of the mortar's for all the Disney parks. We make them a PVC based mortar so its lighter and less dangerous to be around.

It’s hard to talk about ANY of the recent fireworks shows without thanking the genius of Steve Davison who creates and produces the shows. He is the one that brought so much emotion to each show and has made them what we know and love today.
