This takes me back! I remember as a kid with my family trying to maneuver so we could ride in the cockpit. All your videos take me back to incredible memories as a kid.

Unfortunately I probably won't be posting anymore PNW videos, or at least not on this channel. Those videos have garnered a lot of negative criticism and aren't watched by enough people.

If I would have known you were there this day I would have bought you dinner Alex... And I know I was there because my AP (in normal times) expires on this date. My birthday is 10-10 so I usually spend the week in the park.

So annoying that the Monorail 🚝 stops running if the weather is above 80 degrees. That’s most days now.

Yeah, I wish they would repair the A/C on it, so it can keep running.

Why is nobody in the front monitoring the monorail train fumctioning
@AlextheHistorian4 жыл бұрын
They were. The Disneyland Monorail can't move without a pilot.
@jetsons1014 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex, how did you get to ride in the front seats? Weren't they not used anymore for safety? Two questions... 1) has anybody ever walked along the horizonal beam of the monorail at night after the park has closed? 2) Will the people mover ever open again or be used for a other type of ride? Looks like you had a fun ride. Thanks........
@AlextheHistorian4 жыл бұрын
Disneyland Monorail allows rides in the cockpit with the pilot. Its at their discretion though, just ask politely. Yes a young man walked along the monorail beam in the 1970s, but the park was open. And no its unlikely that peoplemover track will ever be put into use again.

Hi Alex, just got home. Just north of the Haunted Mansion ride building and just south of Splash Mountain there is a somewhat small triangular shaped area just outside of the R.R. tracks I noticed on google earth birds eye view. Take a look if you have time there seems to be some steps, just south what looks like some big water pipes for Splash Mountain, that lead down to a tunnel?? Ever been there?? Have a great weekend.
@AlextheHistorian4 жыл бұрын
@@jetsons101 its not a tunnel, its more like an open-air space with lots of equipment and there's access doors that lead to various portions of the Splash Mountain finale.

The abandoned track at tomorrowland station was for the Disneyland peoplemover which was replaced by Rocket Rods in 1998. Rocket Rods closed in 2000, the peoplemover tracks have sat abandoned since.

Love the Monorail but you'd think they would have done better than just show the backside of the building and a plain ugly one at that. They could not even be bothered to hide the equipment on top of the buildings

well that is what disneyland is if you see it from the top.. like for instance all the rides are just inside big buildings basically but when you're on foot walking through the park you don't notice all that stuff.
