I went to Disneyland one time in the past. The only actual ride I remember is the Small World and I never want to go back there again. That ride drives me nuts because the song would be stuck in my head for a whole month. Not that after watching your video, I realized that the mouseland actually has quite a lot of fun things to do. Darn, I just bought the Universal annual pass this month. Last year, we did Legoland annual pass. My kids loved it. 5 and 7 yr olds. But next year we'll do Disneyland annual pass :). Thanks for your video. P.S. We acutually watched your universal video prior to our visit there. It was very very helpful. I knew what ride we could do and what rides we wanted to skip. Thank you.

A thought for a video because you’ve actually mentioned the concept a couple of times… what about a ‘feels like’ wait time list? Ones that have Interactive queues? What counts as wait times? Like you tell us ‘Rise is a 45 min wait, but it’s really only 20 until you get to the first pre show’. For someone who hasn’t been on it, I would count that as 20! Same with Indie that you mentioned recently: LL & standby merge with 15 mins left in the temple… Versus Peter Pan??? Which I bet that FEELS like a boring 45 mins wait!

Thank you for the early entry info! I wonder if it will be better to start to the other park on those days?
@SoCalDisneyDad11 ай бұрын
If you AREN'T staying at a Disney hotel, then yes, it's a valid strategy to go to the opposite park. Because anybody staying at the hotel who does NOT have a park hopper ticket will select the park with early entry and be stuck in that park all day. This means not only do the early entry rides already have lines before rope drop, but it means the park could potentially be busier due to extra enticement to choose that park.

Hey, Traver. I just read that DCA is closing Radiator Springs Racers on February 26, 2024. Any insight on this?
@SoCalDisneyDad11 ай бұрын
Some people see something appear on the refurb calendar and freak out. I’ve seen a few people fret over this. But when it first appears, all we see is the closure date. The calendar only goes two days beyond this right now, so we can’t see a reopening date. It’s possible it’ll only be closed for 4-5 days max. I can’t imagine it being closed through Spring Break. So really all we can do right now is wait to see more dates appear on the refurb calendar. I’ll cover it in February’s Construction update, which I won’t film for two more weeks. At that point we should have a clearer picture as to what’s going on. I just googled to see if there was any news on it and I discovered the source of the paranoia. Inside the Magic, a site known for rumors, click bait, and jumping on any bit of news to be “first” with really shoddy journalism is stirring the pot, as they usually do, by saying it’s closed “indefinitely.” All that means is there’s no reopening date listed. But as I said, the calendar only goes out 2 days past the closing date. Another news article from an actual news station, KTLA, says it will be closed for “nearly a week” for standard maintenance.

@hollybabyyy11 ай бұрын
@@SoCalDisneyDad they are always strict about the wrong things 😂😂
@SoCalDisneyDad11 ай бұрын
Another comparison I can think of is SeaWorld requires children to demonstrate that they can walk when there is no height requirement. So that means children are at least around 9-12 months of age. For most rides at Disneyland, that's really nice because we did take James for the first time when he was only 8 weeks old, and we could take him on a lot of things with us. But, yeah, Pirates has those drops and I am surprised there isn't at least some restriction like must be able to sit in their own seat. The only ride I can think of at Disneyland that has some sort of requirement like that is Golden Zephyr. I know they need to be sitting fully in the seat for that one, so infants are out of the question.

It is. But I’ve discovered a new problem lately. I’m not sure if it’s certain seats or all of them, but the position in which you have to put your legs in the vehicle puts a strain on my left hip that causes a lot of pain. Yesterday when I rode it I had to pull my leg out of the spot they have designed for it to go to get the pain to stop, and that was a pretty uncomfortable position too because there isn’t a lot of space. But at least my hip wasn’t hurting. So yeah, the ride just hurts all over.
