The LIVE musical stage show version of Beauty and the Beast played at Disneyland's Videopolis Stage in Fantasyland. Performed from April 11, 1992 until April 30, 1995.
"Something There", "Mob Song", transformation, and "Beauty & the Beast". Sorry about the weird cut at the start of "Mob Song". Maybe my dad accidentally stopped recording, not sure.
I didn't tape this, my dad did :D
CORRECTION: It's been noted that "Belle" is most likely played by Michelle Revez, and not Stephanie J. Block. However, "evidence" points toward SJB.

The narrator said "through a series of strange circumstances, [Belle] found herself held captive inside a dark and forboding castle". That's good enough for me. The movie was only released a few months eariler. This is a good time to be keeping people's interest in the movie and hyping up an eventual VHS video release. The show was changed slightly for the time allowed for a theme park stage show...

Steph has amazing control over her voice; I heard her sing "I Dreamed a Dream" live, and she just blew me away with the restraint and then the power of her voice, all within one song. Great timing, seeing this, since her new show, THE PIRATE QUEEN, opens in two days!

Thanks for the comment. "Mob Song" and "Beauty and the Best" are in this video clip. Maybe your computer didn't download the whole clip for streaming?? That's just my guess. Try watching this again.

I aodre this show so much! everytime we get to go to Florida, my family and I see this. It's so charming, and the costumes+coreographies are so fun to watch! =D (too bad it was raining and storming last time... The actrees doing Belle actually kind of yelped in a scene due a thunder.

@bingbrian2, @disneyismylife1, and @yesiampsycho Disneyland is in both places. There is the original park in Anaheim, California AND Hong Kong Disneyland, which opened up in 2005 (just in time to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland (1955)).

okay to answer most of your questions, yes they used the voice overs from the film in these shows, the costumes for the beast and the other objects are just not made for people to talk through. It's just like watching fantasmic or a show with mickey and the gang, you hear em talk, but their mouths dont move.

I assume this was a question. Yes, Walt Disney World has a stage version of Beauty & the Beast in the Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. But the video shown here is from California, YEARS ago.

I think this was done way before "A Change in Me" was added to the Broadway show. That song was written for Vanessa Williams when she played Belle. But that song would be a great song for SJB and so would "Home"

I'm constantly surprised at how they're able to scale down an entire movie into 30 minutes. Granted, "Beauty and the Beast" didn't include all the songs, but "Aladdin" did and the "Pocahontas" one and "Snow White" fit most of them in too. And I'm also amazed by the quality of the performers. All the leading ladies are great. Are Lumier and Mrs. Potts' voices recorded from the movie? They sound too much like the ones from the actual film.

This is very good. I love Beauty & the Beast Live. But I don't like when you miss the bell chime, skip a little on the begining of the Mob Song, and skip to the curtain cal and ending it before the curtain falls. Sorry, I just like it perfect and it's not your fault. I also kind of like the evening version better. I find the issue is that the Fantasyland Theater is open-air. People assume they can leave whenever they want. They have more vision of where they're going. Whereas the Hyperion Theater in California Adventure is enclosed and dark, people can't see and wait for the house lights.

@jahdancer93 thats true at Hollywood Studios but in THIS show everyone not in a masked costume sings. you can tell its not the synthetic-y sound as normal shows are now. or at least in "Belle"

i went to a couple of these shows when I was in Florida, and it's amazing how many rude people just get up and walk away without some sort of gesture or acknowledgement to the performers on stage... it is customary to clap, unless the production was completely bad.

Someone who is more "in the know" than I said that the "felts" (HAHAHA) are recorded, but the live actors are all live. And, yes, Steph is amazing. She's my favorite singer, too!
