Fun fact, when you pass Big Thunder Mountain and are on the trail leading to Fantasyland it is the only part of Disneyland park where there is no theme music. The intention is to create the atmosphere of being out in the frontier away from the town where in reality there would be no music, just the sounds of nature 😉.

King Louis is named after Louie Prima, the man who supplied his voice in the movie. "I wanna be like you" is performed by Louis Prima and his Orchestra. The walk they do in the movie was something the orchestra was famous for as they would often dance out into the audience during shows.

17:00 the goblins are seen, as gargoyles, holding candlesticks, and are later used to summon the spirits with their tambourines under the command of Madam Leota. This is based on the idea that gargoyles are monsters that can be brought to life. Disney even had a 90's cartoon based on this concept (called Gargoyles). Sure, you don't see "living" goblins, but they're still part of the ride's story.

I have had a Mint Julep on the Mark Twain. I've been going to Disneyland since they opened. It was tradition for my families last ride of the day to ride the Mark Twain listen to the live band and have a Mint Julep. Fun memories.

Regarding the Silver Spur, that's the name of the Steakhouse at Disneyland Paris, the name of the Saloon is Lucky Nugget. Its backhistory being that the first nugget of gold that was found in the Big Thunder mine which started the gold rush and was the reason to buld Thunder Mesa, is exhibited in the saloon.

In case you ever need more canoe facts...the movie The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh when the song about the rain coming down plays one of the last lines is exaggerated and is "...in a honey pot canoe." The Heffalumps and Woozles song starts at 35 minutes. The 'rain rain rain came down down down' song is at about the 40 minute mark. Enjoy! My son watches that movie on repeat daily. Every time I hear that song I smile and think of Chris.

The lanterns are gimbal-mounted. Gimbals are mounts that pivot around two axes which allows the suspended object to remain on a horizontal plane. Fun to say as well. Hope that counts as a fun-fact. I love your enthusiasm!!

Wow, Dallin is so amazing with Disney knowledge. Chris, this video was so fascinating and great job with the collaboration with Offhand Disney! Frontierland is one of my favorite lands to walk around in Disneyland. The thing where cowboys clean their boots off before going into the store is something else.
