I'll be 100% honest. I haven't been the biggest fan of current imagineers and their ideas BUT I must say, they did a wonderful job on this project. It's beautiful, exciting and a wonderful addition to the Disneyland Hotel. The colors, the style, the architect design, and of course the splash of Disney magic that was added. Great job and can't wait for more growth and development of the Disneyland Resort!

Looks great! Love how you put all your stories together. So well thought out. This tower looks great, and adds a lot to the Disneyland Hotel. I used to go with my family to watch the Dancing Waters show regularly. It was a fun thing to do and it was free!

There is some OG history in those duo villas as well. They are designed to mimic the North and South Garden Rooms at the original DLH. The North Garden Rooms sat about where the ESPN Zone and Rain Forest Cafe buildings are, and the South Garden Rooms sat where the current Grand Cal parking lot is, between DTD and the Pixar Place Hotel.

@@HeyBrickey enjoy. That’s a forgotten part of the hotel those of us who grew up in Anaheim remember. Between the two original garden wings, you had the Travelport. It was all there when I was a CM at DL in the late 80’s and early 90’s.

@@HeyBrickey you could do a whole video series on the mid century modern history of DLH. Check out the shopping and services building that used to stand pretty much dead-on the ESPN zone footprint. I believe it was called The Plaza. Hope you find some good shots of the garden rooms. They were the Poly before there was a Poly.

I hope Disney builds a second tower, for the new Villas: At the Disneyland Hotel. Because the current number rooms is 395 rooms and the Bay Lake Tower at Walt Disney World has 428 rooms, Including Fourteen Grand Villas. Where this new edition only has Two Grand Villas. A brand new version of Steakhouse 55 can be placed there as well. Also, there can be Waterfront Bungalows. Basically like the ones at the Polynesian Resort that can float on a man-made Lagoon, where a DVC addition to the Paradise Pier Hotel can also be placed in.

This looks old before it’s even open…burned out by a hot Palm Springs sun. Maybe it will look better when I can see it with my own eyes. The details are nice but nothing like I was expecting. Mid century modern is distinctly detail free. Hard to create magic with that.

Who cares? It's $1000/night MINIMUM to stay at a Disney property. The average person can't afford that.

This is horrible. It crowds the Disneyland Hotel. It crowds the pool. And Disney is just so greedy to do this. I don’t like it at all.

But they added a pool. Yes, DVC guests might use the older pools but hotel guests can use the new pool so it will average out.
