I have a video request if you guys are interested :D My husband and I are going to be in the Orlando area in a few weeks and we're both having Disney withdrawals, but visiting the parks isn't in the budget at the moment. I would love to know what you guys would do in the area to get all the Disney feels without actually visiting the parks. I know there are a lot of fun things to do between different resorts and Downton Disney (my new favorite name for it), but I would love to know what you guys recommend!

I just saw a video last night (sorry I forget the name of her channel), she and her friend did a resort lounge crawl. So no reservations but you can park at the TTC, get on the monorail and ride to the monorail resorts (could also get off at Epcot, walk to the international gateway then go to the boardwalk). Go to the resort lounges - the Polynesian, grand Floridian and contemporary. You can get ohana noodles at the Polynesian lounge. 😍 And you can watch fireworks from the contemporary or on the lawn by the pool at the Polynesian.

The main walkway to Disney Springs is open always. It’s only the path through the trees that closes at dusk.

In response to you guys saying you’re not knowledgeable about anything… That’s not true! I found Jessica’s channel during covid, and now I’m a fan of everything you guys put out. Jessica, you are my favorite content creator by far. As someone who is a girly girl, but also a huge nerd (I’m in medical school) you put out beauty content I can actually relate to. You are both so funny, so intelligent, and so well spoken. It’s clear to me that you are both lifelong learners. You each deserve so much more credit than you’re willing to accept, but maybe that’s a part of what makes you guys so special.

Old Key West reminds me of Hilton Grand Vacations resorts in Florida. Hubby and I stayed at two of them on our honeymoon, and I loved them. At the time we didn't have kids and rented a car to drive to Universal and Epcot

This was such a good video. We stayed at old key west in a deluxe studio before kids (pre renovations) & was not impressed. Then we stayed again once we had our kids in a one bedroom (cheapest DVC point option out there) & fell in love. I do not love the transportation, but we now drive to the park so that took away that con for us. I know with flights not everybody can drive, but that has helped us enjoy it even more. We also didn’t know there weren’t elevators until we were unpacking our car 😂

I feel like old key west is for families that have kids that want to go to the park and others who don’t care about Disney so they can enjoy the resort. I have fond memories of playing in the rec room and riding the boat to Disney springs. We were in DVC so I don’t recall where we stayed but it was 1st floor since our caregiver was disabled.

I have a friend who gets a grand villa every other year and invites a lot of us to stay with him. I believe I've stayed there six times, and it's a fantastic resort. But I will absolutely not stay there without a car. It's SO much more convenient to just drive wherever you're going instead of waiting for the bus, EXCEPT Magic Kingdom. One day I needed to go from Studios back to the resort to change clothes then go to MK, and it took two hours because of the transportation. It's worth the cost of the rental car every time, IMO.

I would love an explanation of DVC. I know it stands for Disney Vacation Club, but what does that mean!? Lol. I love you guys, I will still watch every video ❤

DVC is Disney’s version of a timeshare. There are certain resorts that are DVC resorts, and each resort and room type are given a point value. You buy a contract for a certain amount of points per year and you can use them however you want. It’s awesome if you go to Disney fairly often.

My kids (ages 10, 15 and 18) all loved the OKW community hall. We already have another trip booked there and are looking into buying OKW DVC. It’s a great staycation resort.

You need to check more things. I have been a DVC member since 1992 at OKW. Many two bedrooms are lock-(offs-outs). OKW is the most spacious of all the resorts. Saratoga Springs is a disaster - the rooms are cramped & there is very little storage space. OKW has some of the most beautiful grounds - great for walking & jogging. I am 73 now & I have no problem walking the entire grounds. There are no other resorts that match OKW in spaciousness. It's 5-7 minutes from OKW to Epcot from the Hospitality House. I always request "no ground floor" as I have endured a first floor with the bouncing ball family above me. I do recognize your concern about strollers & children - then request a ground floor. The Grand Villas sleep twelve & there are three bathrooms +. Please check all your "facts" before you comment & critique!

We just got back last week and loved OKW! It was so pretty and had such a relaxing vibe 😊 The boats to Disney Springs weren’t running because there hadn’t been any rain so the water levels were too low

Long time DVC-OKW home base.We have tried all, but it was great when kids were little(triplets+1) and still great now that they are adults .You can't beat the space and nature, but transportation has always been an issue.A + review!❤

My family owns at Old Key West, the resort definitely had pros and cons. With the money saved or in this case points when staying there we usually Uber. Last year we ran the wine and dine half... our room was on the 3rd floor, lets just say it took a while to get up and down the stairs haha.

Lived in Key West my whole life! We talk just like you! Only thing you need to know is conch is pronounced KONK, and you’ll be fine! It’s less of an accent and more of random words and phrases no one else uses (except the Bahamian settlers the phrases came from!) :)

I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on some info visiting Walt Disney World in February for Nationals week! We are at ESPN sports complex for several days. The parents have at least 1 full day at the park without kids on the first day and at least 1 full day with kids on the last day. It’s hit or miss in the days in between depending on the competition schedule. I’d love to hear of good spots to stay and the easiest parks/rides to get on and have some fun! Thanks
