Sonic Rivals 2 is the sequel to Sonic Rivals, and honestly, while it’s still fine on a gameplay standpoint, I can’t stand the campaign. If you thought that most of the excuses for racing in the first Rivals were dumb, this game will make you rip out every hair on your head in frustration. Plus, you have to play the game EIGHT TIMES just to finish the whole story, and NOTHING changes between stories. It’s ridiculous and padding to a painful degree. Thankfully, Charriii’s here to tear it up. Yeah, I actually kind of enjoyed this one. It’s flawed as usual, but he gets a lot of stuff right thanks to the story being ASS. Not complete ass but ass nonetheless.

The fact that people feel that it’s ok to harass people based on a video that at the start literal says that it doesn’t hate someone’s work is mind boggling. Like seriously, it’s just a bit of fun. On a more positive note, I really feel the need to praise the audio mixing in your videos. The levels blend brilliant between Charri’s video and your own voice overs and even the live segments. Also, this has to be one of the few channels that DOESNT PEAK THE MIC! Even when you and DT get angry or you use sound effects, no peaks. Makes life sooooo much better for my ears. Love the content.

Soemthing I REALLY wished Charri sinned was before the fight with the Egg Phantom. Before the battle Shadow or Silver (can’t remember which) calls “Eggman” Eggman Nega in the presence of everybody. But that part of the line is omitted in Knuckles and Rouge’s story. This isn’t like Adventure 1 where every character remembers the same events slightly different this is a case of the game lying by omission to preserve the “twist”

(how did younger me have the patience for Rivals 2? 🤔) This is off topic but when playing Sonic Origins I got to 3&K and noticed when Robotnik was raining bombs Tails latches on to Sonic so he's not just getting abused in that semi scripted sequence which is a nice attention to detail, don't ya think? And you weren't kidding about some of the song changes, when I got to Carnival Night Zone I was thinking "this music feels... wrong somehow." Also also, if you made an EWW series of your own, how long would the videos be?

Sonic rivals 2, wow this is the 6th game in a row weve covered (excluding 3&k) that I haven't played, and this will continue with chronicles, and then the streak stops when we get to unleashed, anyways, Charriiis video on it is definitely my 2nd favorite of his Sonic ewws (1st going to rush adventure, which I know is surprising to you since you hate that video) which i think is because the games cutscenes are entertaining and I think he has great commentary, anyways, I guess I'll be waiting for this to come out

Can't say anything about Sega Superstars, but yes, there is a Chao Garden in Chronicles. But it's more for visuals like in Sonic Advance 3 and not fully interactive like in SA1 and 2.

Sonic may be a good guy, but when it comes to competition, he's engaged and competitive which isn't a flaw of the game but a flaw of the character within the game. Sin 53: It's not the deed. For sin 4, I wouldn’t say that the characters have an unfair advantage is strictly true, yes the game would be a bit imbalanced but I can’t agree to you saying that they’d have an unfair advantage. The way I see it, if a character was using an external power or method to get ahead, it would be unfair. But if the character can naturally do something that they can use to gain a lead, it’s totally fair! Tails and Rouge can naturally fly, it’s not an unfair advantage unless they use technology or an outside force. Silver naturally has psychokinesis, so it’s not unfair for him to use his natural abilities to get ahead of his opponent. Even though it’s not in the game, it wouldn’t be unfair for Knuckles to glide or climb walls to gain an advantage

Let me put it this way. Imagine a Sonic racing game where Sonic could run as fast as he can in Unleashed and Generations, and the only characters who could match that speed are Shadow, Blaze, and Metal Sonic. Yeah, it’s accurate to their stats and something they can all do naturally, but it negates the rest of the roster’s value. Why would you bother with say Omega when the other four are so much faster?

Perhaps, but that raises a couple questions. One, do they even exist in canon? Like, forget rings being rarely acknowledged by the cast. The red rings are never acknowledged by anyone in-universe. They only appear as optional mcguffins. Two, if they do exist, how much are they worth? This one's self-explanatory. There's at least five in every zone, and if they're worth anything, wouldn't at least one be able to pay the rent given how rare they are? I dunno.
