After watching all of your videos, I couldn't wait to see this one. You never disappoint? Did you have any problems with mosquitoes, and did you see or hear any animal? Are there any deer or bears in that area? Thanks for taking us along on you trip.

Supposed to be bear, but no encounters. I didn't see much except hawks, owls, various songbirds, one lizard. For some reason, mosquitos were few and far between. Thanks for the view and comment.

I would love to see him video a Squatch, even by accident. But I think he's the type of guy who wouldn't publish it. He's just keep it to himself and let them be free like he is.

I highly recommend the Bradwell Bay Wilderness area of the Apalachicola National Forest, if you want a true wilderness experience. If you want to camp about as close as you can, to a hurricane landing, check out the Tate's Hell State Forest in Florida. It sits right on the forgotten coast in the panhandle of Florida. Both of these a extremely remote and unforgiving areas. I've enjoyed your East Coast Hurricane Camping series.

I like the tip about the pine cone between the backpack and tree...I'll have to try that soon. I've hunted for so many years not far from there close to Charlie Elliott WMA, but have never ventured over there. I ordered a map of Oconee National Forest this morning as I want to plan a bikepacking trip there.

Peaceful video. 8:10 - They say Squatches bend thin pliant trees into that upside down U shape as some sign to each other, nesting sign in Alaska. You do a lot of things that you don't explain in words. We have to really watch to learn. You never have big bright fires, just enough to do what you need. Less work, less energy expenditure, less footprint.

How do you prevent getting wrapped up with redbugs (chiggers for y'all that don't know the term)? And ticks also?

Use insect repellant on shoes, pants, and socks...otherwise I avoid rubbing against plants, when possible, especially on game trails. I hate chiggers. Thanks for watching and commenting!

So I happen to noticed that you was camping right next to a snipe game trail. Did you happen to see it? Probably not. I'm sure the camp fire made the snipe keep their distance away from that area throughout the night. Maybe sometime you can do a video about snipe hunting with a burlap sack. You don't even need to catch any snipe in your video. Just go out to a game trail and show us all the tricks and pointers for us all to gain valuable information about snipe hunting. I'm sure most of us will be thrilled and find the video very enjoyable. Anyway, It was a nice video.

What I like about snipe is that their numbers are not affected by habitat loss. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Can you speak to, or point to, the various rules and laws concerning dispersed NF camping in Georgia? Are they the same for every state or do they vary with state laws? Can find full info for nearly every state but Georgia.
@SurvivalTheory
@SurvivalTheory 4 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good video subject. Will put on list. Summary: state or local laws apply to firearms, what trees you can cut, etc. You can always visit the ranger station for the best info on a specific forest. I go to the stations often as they are very helpful with maps and info. Thanks for watching and commenting!
