Presented by DT Global
Many development programs engage internally displaced persons as part of “other vulnerable groups” rather than the active community voices and changemakers that they are. This panel will explore how international development programs can effectively engage IDPs as peacebuilders and change agents in their communities, drawing on examples from Sudan, Syria, and Ukraine. It will weave in how policies and strategies can support these efforts and highlight recommendations and areas for improvement, bringing attention to IDPs as critical “sparks of hope” who can advance peacebuilding efforts in a world in crisis.
