@@DavesTechTips Sir, in the first gallery, instead of just using First( ) to get the first item, can FirstN be used to get all attachments associated with a sharepoint list record? In my app, users can attach multiple documents but in sharepoint, attachments lumps these together. It would be nice if the gallery can display all attachments tied to a sharepoint row

Hi Dave nice video I have followed your step and finally get the attachment control with the attachment file but the files couldn't be downloaded when I use the app on my mobile, so on the browser either they were downloaded with no files. I don't know where I missed the step.

Hoping you might be able to provide some guidance...When I export a SharePoint list to an Excel spreadsheet, instead of listing the name of the document (which is a hyperlink to the document; therefore being considered an "image"), it will only show "Attachments" in the column instead of the document name (which is what I want). Any suggestions?

HI Dave - Excellent video shared ! I ran into a problem when connecting to the attachment. it said the data type was a "Table" and hence it gave an error. Not sure how / what i should do so that when i add the .value formula it would read as a record ?

NICE! I had no idea I could reference the image/videos/whatever in the attachments with .value instead of .absoluteUri I even tried everything I could to host the images within the o365 environment but it is impossible to access it on PowerApps without signing in You have no idea just how much this piece of info helped me, thank you very much

Hi, your video was really godd. I want to take it a step further if its possible. How can I use the image.value to display a specific image from the gallery in a form releated to another column in the list. So I have two people fields, both show DisplayName, and depending on what each of those are I need my app to show the image which corresponds with the Displayname of a person field in the gallery

Hi, Dave, great tutorial! I have one question, though: when I run the app after publishing it (i.e. directly from the list), I cannot open/launch the images/files in View mode; the interaction only works if I enter in Edit mode. Is there a way to keep the interaction in View mode? What am I missing? Thank you.

Thanks for a great video. I have been able to get this working within my app. I would like to make one small modification. When the user clicks on a record (opening up a detail (view) screen) how can I show just the images (attachments) for that individual record? I have created a form that views all details, but every gallery I use it shows all attachments for full sharepoint list instead of just the one for that individual record.

Wouldn't you know it! I was able to figure it out immoderately after posting :) I used Gallery1.Selected.Attachments.Value on the gallery on screen 2 to reference the selection on the gallery from screen 1. Then on the actual image control in the screen 2 gallery I used: ThisItem.Value and it worked. I appreciate your videos. I am attending a App in a Day training in Reston next month to learn some more. Until then KZbin is my go to.

Hello Shane. Just to clarify, would you like to upload an attachment to a SharePoint list item? This can be done without creating a separate column in SharePoint which is easier than having to worry about encoding issues while storing the encoded attachments in a text column.
