As a tip with your drill: Replace the torches for full redstone blocks instead. It's technically more expensive, however it'll ensure your machine is liquid-proof, along side if you add a deployer placing cobblestone/deepslate/netherrack (Depending on where you're mining) in front of the track deployer. Of course, replace the plow behind the redstone block with a drill as well to make sure it gets picked up.

No need for a cobble deployer, you can use a deployer to place the redstone block directly under the rail ^^

@@shimalya Then you'd just be wasting tons of redstone. If you place it alongside the rail, the mechanical plough will pick it up. So you just need a few.

If you're riding along in your drill anyway, why not make it a furnace minecart? Set it in the right direction and pop some coal in and it'll go on its own for a good while so long as you have fuel for it. No worries about fluids since there's no torches involved

For your netherminer, you need to make sure you have deployers pointing outward from the machine to cover lava and protect yourself. you also need to make sure they are using netherrack. Some nether machines even have deployers directly behind the drills to place blocks that might be lava in front of the drill. Also, if you have the newest version of create, you can also add contrapsion controls to toggle if the drills, deployers, haversters etc should be active or not. you can tell if you are in the newest version because in the new version you can access a contrapstion chest in its constructed from

The reason why you couldn't place slabs on rails, is because you dont have "Create Steam 'n' Rails" Bonus with Create Steam 'n' Rails you can have different colors of rails with different wodden slabs, endstone, phantom membranes, rails without bars, small 1×1 rails and big 3×1 rails.

Lil tip, if you or mobs exp are on top of that net or drain on your mobile base, it absorbs all your exp, filling the tanks with a beautiful green

add some lighting to your drill. more light while mining is never misplaced. you can also add timed deployers to set torches every 12 blocks so you're not creating a huge mob spawning tunnel behind.

Should upgrade to drawers amd a drawer controller for your sorting system. Super easy and conveint, literally does everything for you and then you just lock and quantify. Or you can sort them however you want based on item or category whatever...

Oh yeah, you need two more deployers in front of what youve got, a block lower. Toss in whatever block you're gonna mine the most and itll keep trucking. Also, there was another comment about swapping torches for full blocks, i second it, as lava and water wont break it

Make a xp farm using tanks to store xp in the tanks and when xp is needed you can drain the tanks and get loads of xp. . Try using blaze spawners instead for blaze rods and the steam power stations

Why not just have the mining facility convert the excess cobblestone to iron nuggets? Or have the miner place the excess cobblestone as ceilings and floors to prevent issues with Lava and flowing water? And if you have the miner place blocks in front of the drill bits and where you want walls and ceilings and floors, it prevents lava flows from destroying tracks and torches.
