In VRChat i've seen plenty of troll avatars programmed to overlay images of gore and very loud noise or trap you in a strobe light lsd nightmare scape that even distorts your menu so opening up the menu to leave the world is difficult. VRchat is programmed with a button combo for such things that reverts you into a Safe Mode so all avatars around you are set to hidden.

I was thinkng something like them hijacking our motor skills kinda like this type of parasitic fungus does with tree ants. The parasite enters the ants brain, it think through the ant eating an infected leaf. The parasite takes over the ant's movement patterns. Sometimes the other ants realize what is happening and throw the ant out of the tree as so they can't get infected. The infected ant then looks for a high branch and clings on to it. A large fungal stalk sprouts out of the ant's neck and crumbles in the wind to spread its spores to more ants. The ant dies. Maybe someone can make a killer cybervirus that sort of does this except using Wi-Fi tramsmit.

The Information Technology/ Computer Science topics youve covered are really entertaining and so so accurate and in depth. I have a very limited background in IT and I was geeking out. Also, someone without the same background could follow these videos with ease. Your voice, cadence, and energy are perfect. I found myself totally immersed in the stories and I really really enjoyed it. The visuals in your videos are fantastic. The editing, animation, and effects you use are stunning. These videos have a futuristic vibe. Idk how to explain it, but I love it. For real. I appreciate the time and effort you put into these vids. Thank you.

I was un-subbed from you for some reason, just rediscovered your incredible channel, so fk KZbin. Anyway... Just want to comment on how incredible your videos are. Most videos and video essays merely play in the background while I do something else. I find myself sitting forwards in my desk chair with rapt attention at the beautifully created masterpiece of things I've feared in passing and then forgotten about... and then I watch it again just to analyze the cuts and edits, the cadence of your voice, the pacing. I recommend you often, although most of my friends tell me to "stop panicking" and that the world won't "end in a blazing fire of digital technological evil". We'll see who has the last laugh. You, sir, are running one of the best channels on KZbin and you deserve WAY more subs than you have. Liked, subbed, bell has been clicked. Transhumanism is a fallacy. It's taking a narrow strip of civilization, technology, and applying it to every aspect. Unless robot constructors lay down networks of its self supporting infrastructure, it won't happen for decades, or centuries. I still have deadzones outside town because the infrastructure for cell towers just isn't there. There are fucking towns where a computer is just a tool used to play CD games because there's no ISP for miles except the 5 mbps landline option.

While yes, a lot of games nowadays feel like simulations already and they will only get better and more realistic (especially with enhancements in VR) they can never be simulations. This is due to the fact that simulations are, or at least can be, finely tuned down to every minute detail, a game however cannot. A simulation can be monitored and then propagated in different situations the exact same way, without fail, even without control. This is due to the fact that they require nor take in no input. A game however, even if it doesn’t require input, has to intake input. And when an input comes into the equation, the equation may no longer be perfectly replicated, leading to mutation. By default mutation unmonitored will at some point lead to failure. And every input, creates a new chance for failure. With a new mutation. This is why simulations run smoothly, like a film. As, in essence that is a form of what they are. However games manifest, What we all know (and cyberpunk 2077 has come to love) bugs. The mutations I was talking about, the failures are the bugs in the run. And when in virtual reality, every movement, eye or body, creates an input. That input creates an unmonitored mutation which could lead to failure. Therefore alerting anyone even mildly tech savy (and in a world where this kind of hacking is available, everyone is) to the fact that what they’re seeing isn’t real. And so that is why this couldn’t happen RELIABLY. ever.

If people can enjoy exploring old game's worlds, have goosebumps jus by hearing the first notes of a famous music or even fall in love with a PNG of a waifu, it is clear that there is no need for perfection. A game just need to trick the user. Adaptability of small details may get better with the rise of A.I as shown in the video with the talking animations of Cyberpunk. Apply such micromanagment to enough parts of the world, and the illusion will be striking enough, or even too avanced already for the user to even notice most things. Perfection, is not required. And never was.

Ironically enough, the only ones not respecting boundaries, nor using common sense, running around while yelling hysterically are the trolls themselves!
