Dissassembly and Reassembly 92-94 Chevy Gauge Cluster

I took mine off to installed leds and now that it’s back on its working at all,my truck is now acting up as far as gear won’t switch

Is there anyway to tell if you have the rare '91 cluster compared to the 92-94 without taking it out? I have a '91 pick up but it has a different dash, and I am unaware if they replaced the gauge as well.

How's it going man ..I have a 88 chevy and it has the moony cluster but I wanted to add a newer cluster like the one in the video but my problem was the connectors in the back dont match..is there a possible way I can install a newer cluster instead of the ugly moonie one ?

Where's the video of the 91 needle cluster? My odometer doesn't work and some of the other gauges don't work correctly.

you do have to take it apart completely. there's green tint behind the guages

That green tint is apart of the gauge face plate (the plexiglass part). it cannot be removed easily.

I have a 92 gmc and the odometer and trip don’t work is it the board that is fried

Do you know where I can buy/order that spring that links the odometer and trip odometer; mine is broken

Any idea on how to move the odometer from one clustet to another so you can put a different cluster in your truck?

Moving the Odometer from one cluster to another? Unmount the housing and motor from the old cluster (don't worry the numbers wont fall out) and remount the motor and housing onto the new cluster. Just make sure you do not lose the little spring that connects the Trip to the regular Odometer.

how about recalibrate the gauges...I recently swapped mine out and didn't even think it recalibrate before I put everything back in.

Are you talking about the speedometer? The other gauges should already be calibrated. If they are not, then I would check your sending units for the affected gauges.

I got a 1993 Cheyenne cluster without the tach, would it be different?

You got that wierd one. You should be able to drop one in there that has a tach and everything should work. Might do a video if I get my hands on one.

Led swap - T10 and T20 I think for led swap w/ 194 bulbs... But you also have the sand the paint off the back side of the face plastic... It's a bitch honestly.... I only know from experience.
