It is super odd (and actually quite refreshing) to see one of the most iconic names in modern sport being treated as a normal human being and not as some sort of demi god. Most people there seem to barely even know what goes on in the rest of the US, and absolutely no one there plays soccer. That's not an exaggeration. I was curious and looked it up. The Arkansas Soccer Association lists 0 youth soccer clubs within 50 miles of their zip code, and the only high school doesn't have a soccer team.
