While my theory abt his knuckles got somewhat debunked by the trailer, as he seemingly had it on the other hand when he still had his it, they are weirdly shaped for punching scars 🤔Theres also still the stars in his hair... His report also says something about ancient ruins, where he probably got the knowledge from how to make his arm.

His in-game model and shadings are so gorgeous. I don't know how they did it, but he looks so freaking good. His face model seems to have a unique shadings of its own compared to the other models.

Tbf the Resonator Announcements shows the Resonator's Tacet Mark in a golden glow form rather than in Black. And in this case for Xiangli Yao, yes it is in his Mech arm.

I think it makes sense his outfit is more distinguished but maintains elements and patterns of the huaxu academy. According to mortefi, he’s the only principal investigator at the huaxu academy, so he’s in a quite unique position. I also speculate the emblem on his left arm is either indicative of his department or his position as a principal investigator.

Using Unreal Engine was the best thing that Kuro did. The artistic freedom and body diversity made the characters more arrive. I hope we can see Blackshores members from different countries.

It is prolly just a prosthetic arm but due to some events or the more he uses his power it merged with his body? We knew some mobs in the overworld are influenced by the elements surrounding them, like the rock golems and some fussion rocks. Hecc some bosses like lampylumen is just a big frost bug.

Story spoilers but stop reading if you'd like His arm got cut off when he went to the Court of Savantae to uncover the fate of his father. He interacted with the ancient mechanisms and the portal within the ruins, and it costed him his arm. Given he's an expert in automata, I think he used the knowledge he got from the ruins to create his arm.

Ngl i hope xiang liao have a deep story like lee for why his arm is gone since lorewise they kinda feel siniliar Lee from pgr's heart got ripped out of his body and transplanted it with the heart of his dead brother, so lee doesn't feel as lonely and also can always be with his brother wherever he would go but.. Prolly there's no lore again for my fav xiang liao ._.

Bro lee's brother isnt dead. Isnt he the current commandant of cerberus? I thought Lee's brother had a heart disease and to save his brother Lee turned into a construct and gave his heart to his brother. At least thats wat i remember from the interlude.

so a lil fun fact about his arm; according to his story (and its hinted at in his pv though....less violent) he was literally losing so much blood while he was in the court of savantae ruins, and when he DID notice it, he used his forte (metalmorphing) to stop the bleeding. we can probably assume his prosthetic is built around that, and how his tacet mark came to be.

The various straps and plates on his upper body and torso are probably there to help redistribute the weight of that heavy-ass looking artificial arm.

6:14 I gues that theory is now debunked since his resonator showcase literally showed both knuckles having the same mark. Still weird tho that his real tacet mark is on the prosthetic arm

My theory about his Tasset mark? I think he has at least some remaining bit of arm underneath. That is where is real Tasset Mark is underneath and it's just connected.

The sash/belts-thingy on his upper body remind me of power connectors that you can find in computers. They don't seem to really be connected to anything, so I'm not sure of it's direct use aside of a design aspect but it fits his theme of an electric user as well as a researcher, and having hi-tech stuff on him (like his arm) or around him (like his robots). Maybe that's just me thinking of it like that but I do like it.
