I know why she's acting like that..! In Lightning Returns, the fake Serah said Lightning cut out all that made her weak so no one could make her back down. ***** I wouldn't call her 'mean'. But more overconfident and a rude demeanor. I personally think that in a fight between let us say Cloud (or Squall) and Lighting. Cloud would win, not because of strength alone (human biology) but because of their different views. If you played FF7 (I think you do) then you saw how Cloud was uncertain yet not losing confidence when they were about to fight Sepiroth. He realizes how strong he was but he also acknowledged (from the start) how amazing his enemy was. I image Lighting losing just because of her overconfidence. But that's just me. In a fight it's important to acknowledge your opponent and knowing your own strength. That and strength and discipline makes a huge difference. What would you think ?

As in : Lighting would just overlook the other overconfident while Cloud just doesn't mess around (same goes for Squall). Kinda pointless indeed, different setting and different worlds. It's too difficult to compare and even IF you could compare it ? What use is it if it doesn't have to do anything with their story ? ScrewAttack is entertaining for their animation and the try to analyze both competitors. Of course it's not really factual but I like the way how they try to analyze as much as possible while in reality it's still up to debate how it would go, going nowhere without any real gain from it. ERBOH is entertaining (for me once again) for their amusing way of referencing several trivia or even plots of the series. They really don't want the : WHO WON line to be the most obvious line you remember. The you won is just a way to show to the creators what they have done right once they check their comments. Let's see : Well people like to feel superior in any way, even the petty : MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IS TOO OP FOR YOURS OMG. etc etc Why ? Oh please. Squall couldn't hold a candle to Lightning. His gunblade is a giant vibrator that doesn't even shoot bullets. Light's is real. In the intro to FF8 he charged Seifer with the blunt edge of his blade! The blunt end! No wonder he got slashed in the face a few moments later. Lightning actually uses a real sword stance called the OX that actually works. In a one on one she would beat the hell out of him. Not to mention Lightning defeated Bhunivelze Squall would get his ass whooped.

@@monksters1 Not on Lightning's level. Not even close. Light is easily the most powerful protagonist. In FF13-2 she could defeat any of the other characters no contest. In LR she's a god.

@@RazuX5 What are you serious? It's 2023 dude. It's general knowledge Lightning is the strongest protagonist due to the events of Lightning returns. The game came out 10 years ago, where have you been? Living under a rock? She gets a power boost from Bhunivelze and Etro. You know how Kefka got his powers at the end of the game from the gods of the planet? Well Lightning gets powers from the god that created multiple universes. You can't compete against that. It has nothing to do with being a fan boy, it's just facts. Ask around the Final Fantasy community, most agree Lightning is the strongest character.
