Shantotto is indeed a big talker-- and the thing that makes it worse is the fact that almost everything she goes on about is absolutely true as she can pwn just about everyone with ease. (Don't ever underestimate, the tiny, cute-looking creatures. They tend to be the most dangerous of them all. And that's why she rocks!) She also seems to have a knack for destructive mischeif-- Shantotto ought to have tea with Kefka sometime.

012 is a prequel, that's why. By the time of the original Dissidia, they are all familiar with what Shantotto is really capable of (well, maybe minus a few, like Ultimecia, who thinks she's stronger, even though Shantotto would mop the floor with her)

I actually kind-of dislike Shantotto's quotes, they detract from the "I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS" tension. Same as with the painful void puns, though as an exdeath player you learn to love 'em as part of his ham.
