Cloud is slow in Dissidia. He hits hard but you can play around it. I think Jecht is one of the stronger characters. If you get his timing down you can do some savage damage, hit through guards with just BRV attacks, and chain every BRV attack into an HP one for a sure hit without the use of a support summon. Combo that with Cecil as a support and you can do some mad damage. Not to mention his Jecht block. Blocks pretty much everything and what it cannot block just staggers you.

Cloud is surely the best character of this game, if you take all they weapons passive, he can remove buffs, stun a enemy, BRV+HP, and Finishing Touch is a freaking life saver, and accumulator of BRV for the all the team, he's so broken haha. But i think Vann, is the best DPS in the game even in the JP ver.

they're going very deep in all ff games for this one. They actually have plans to bring in all FF characters for this. So expect to eventually get Thancred and etc. Also obtaining new characters for your party is actually more free player frendly here as each chapter provides new characters to join the party. Only thing that demands Gem Summon is Weapons so don't worry about characters as they are unlocked for free by progressing in the Main Storyline of the game.

It's eventually gonna be it's weak points as you'll need to get deep into the game to get someone you want, unless they introduce a way to get certain character faster.
