The story is basically the following: - Everyone being annoyed that they are in this again - Noctis being confused - Terra being everyone's little sister - Lightning being Squall's mom - The Warrior of Light, Noctis, Cecil, Terra and Garland being the only ones with brain cells - Golbez and the Cloud of Darkness watching everything unfold with popcorns

It's like they put all of the character building and interactions in the DLC with none of the overarching story, but the overarching story had 0 interactions with impact. Besides Shantotto laying a verbal beatdown on Ultimecia.

I hope they reboot this series after FFXVI comes out, add more characters, and provide a better story mode. The gameplay of the original Dissidia was great and a next gen Dissidia game could be so dope.

Despite the hate this game gets, I really do like this story for the fact that no one has amnesia this time, we get to see stuff like Jecht and Kuja making peace with their enemies, the Warrior Of Light being able to relate to everyone’s experiences by having his own adventure, and everyone getting to know each other's worlds now that the amnesia is gone. And I will not deny that the ending scenes where the heroes and villains team up to lure and kill a dragon is always gonna be awesome.

012 had that melancholic feeling, the characters were strangers to each other, worse, having no memory made the world of Cosmos and Chaos all what they knew, that's the only thing they could cling to, and the fact that one day they woke up and were demanded to fight. Having to trust strangers in a foreign world in order to find way back home was what made the first game emotional

That would be great. Omnia is probably the most accurate crossover, with the characters actually referencing their world. Not to mention the myriad of other characters introduced. It'd probably take them years to release the whole story in PS5 graphics, but still.

Dissidia Dissidia FF NT's story is like Smash Bros Brawl(subspace emissary + the First Smash Bros purpose). Only Cloud and Sephiroth are in Dissidia and Smash Bros. Really need KH characters (esp Sora) will be in new Dissidia game.

Very unlikely to happen. Kingdom Hearts, despite being made by Square Enix, is 100% owned by Disney alone. If they wanted to, Disney could kick Squeenix out of it entirely and there would be no case for Squeenix to make. Besides I think its fine as is, keeping Dissidia as strictly a Final Fantasy game rather than a Squeenix crossover game.

They really made Materia as unlikable as possible, good grief, her attitude along with Lightning's were just grating. Hopefully in future releases they'll be more pleasant, but considering every fictional female character has to be rude and arrogant to be strong, I doubt that day will come.

@@ChaosRose6 Yeah, but Lightning and Materia are intentionally abrasive while Cloud and Squall are warriors with some ptsd and would prefer to be alone more often. These ladies, they're written like if you don't like them or follow their orders or w/e, you're bad, or at least that's the impression I felt. Cloud and Squall don't really make it about themselves.

@@ChaosRose6 I think the writers may have overcompensated when they were told they had a diversity or some other social justice quota they had to fill so their content could be more "inclusive". It may not have been the case for this game in particular, but it is a growing trend in modern media these days. It's rather sad that most career game devs can't make the vision they want because they fear being canceled on social media and/or fired from their job if they don't tow the company's new line.

@@TrineofFire it's Japan they wouldn't do that, I think they tried making her more godlike as stubborn, they made her look more like a bad person, she wanted to defeat spiritus because she thought he wanted this worlds doom she is close minded
