I was also surprised when he warped with Lighting's sword, just because it wasn't from his universe. Extra Comment: Thinking about it, it kinda makes sense Noct and Lightning would end up tag teaming, as Gladio and Lightning have very similar personalities when it comes to their attitudes on things in general. Just thought that was interesting to think about.

@@noobdude5933 To be fair, the earth in FFVII is stronger than regular planets. It has the lifestream. So taking down the planet in FFVII is beyond what normal characters could call 'planet busting' simply because it's a planet that can defend itself against a meteor. Also, every FF villain in one way or another has reached god-like powers if not greater than the gods in their universes. FFVII has no actual reference to gods(if I remember correctly) so just by raw power, Sephiroth has become a being that mortals in said planet could call a god, even before accomplishing his plan of absorbing all the planet's energy from healing its wound and defending itself against meteor. Every protagonist in every Final Fantasy game required a party to defeat the final boss with the exception of Lightning and Noctis, having beaten that god in Lightning Returns and Ardyn who is essentially a being that has enslaved a god and therefore can be seen as beyond it. Cloud is kinda weird, he defeated Sephiroth in Advent but it was sort of implied if not so heavily that Sephiroth was either holding back or dicking around with Cloud. He still won of course and fighting Sephiroth on his own was quite the feat already. If your case is Lightning being able to obtain countless souls, Sephiroth has the lifestream. A planet's life energy. All sentient beings return to the planet once they die in FFVII's universe and Sephiroth has some power over said force through Jenova. Jenova herself is a calamity that's supposed to eat planets or whatever, sorry, I was 5 when I played FFVII, I don't remember much but I do think that's the gist of it. And judging from the fight here, he could've been handling both Lightning and Noctis without even breaking a sweat which just goes to show that Lightning can't really beat him easily. I'm not trying to insult you or anything, I'm just giving you a piece of my mind.

This was fuckin awesome. My only gripe is that it ended without Gabranth, a FFXIII villain, and a FFXV villain (most likely would've been Ardyn). FFXI and FFXIV villains would be great but I understand those games don't quite have the same hero-villain symmetry. Tactics and Type-0 villains would be neat too. In any case, they gotta give the post-X FFs their proper standing in the series. It was also kinda weird that Kain ended up being the only secondary representative hero so we def need some more. Definitely an awesome game though and I'm looking forward to more FF and Dissidia. ...And Materia and Spiritus are low-key tsundere for each other aren't they haha.

They are adding character DLC. They haven't confirmed anything on the story. And if that were the case, it would probably be prologues that won't be adding anything meaningful to the story. The original Dissidias had a story that felt rather weird tbh, specially considering Cloud and Terra's storylines with their original stories and personalities in their games, but it still had some legit enjoyable moments. NT managed to underperform in everything except the looks.
