I feel bad for Kuja. He genuinely wanted to help the Cosmo warriors, especially Zidane defeat Chaos but Kefka had to intervene. Not only did Kefka ruin Kuja’s plan, he even got him killed by Lightning

Just what I was looking for, and suprising it's only been made so many years later. Kuja is perhaps my favorite character of Dissidia 012 within the scope of the Dissidia series. It's interesting to see him becoming so nihilist, but in a completely different sense than in FF9. After all had his scheme worked Zidane and friends would have defeated Chaos, and Kuja himself erased along with the other champions of discord. He's comparable to Golbez, but very much distinct. While his character is almost completely different in the original by the end of it I can see how even that Kuja could become the Kuja of the prequels.

If you notice when Kuja finally disappears (at the end of the video), you can see him fade away similar to those teleportation tiles that you see in his lair/castle when you move from one place to another. I think they also appear in Terra as well. In find that detail to be very interesting.

They made Kuja weak in Dissdia. He literally lost to FFXIII Lightning. which is her weakest version, she wasn’t a goddess yet, he is much stronger than her before she became a Goddess in Lightning Return.

On the up-side, in Dissidia NT he's able to fend off the Emperor and Sephiroth briefly to protect Terra and Zidane. 012 also has him take on Zidane, Squall, and Bartz

Hey, do you mind sharing your thoughts about Dissidia NT? I didn't play it because I didn't like the PC port, square made a lot of pc games like this, some without even remap settings for the keyboard, which is sad, but I think they are improving. But I don't have an opinion on the game itself. I think that you who still play dissidia on PSP and were part of modbase would have an opinion to speak properly about dissidia NT, even more so you are also a big fan of SE games. I think my dreams have always been to play PSP games with a big community, the NT set out to be that, but apparently he never managed to have a base of even dedicated players who enjoy the game.

I didn't like NT at first due to the awful lag when online play, being pitted against players of multiple skill levels meant uneven matches, and ganging up on opponents. I came back to it years later to get footage for projects, and it wasn't bad. I had fun playing AI opponents and enjoyed it well enough. But many of the arenas are uninterested wide-open spaces, there's so much action going on that it's impossible to keep track of who is where and attacking whom, and the need to level up your AI teammates so they can actually be helpful is an awful idea. NT's major problem was simply a lack of content. If it had 1v1 matchmaking and a proper story mode like the PSP games, it could have been much more. As was, it was on the level of a fighting game from the early 2000s.

Ah, makes sense, especially after watching others you did. Out of curiosity, is there a Kefka story or no? Just uncertain, and of course, no worries if not. These are all super well done! I'll have to watch Golbez's next. As my second seen villain (and a top 3), I am eager for his lectures and encouragement.
