Sir, if acid stage is passed at A2 and A3 stage, shall we take the same 12 or 24 tablets in buffer stage ? We have to start with six tablets or not. Release at acid and Buffer is added or not. kindly explain.

What is difference between Delayed release and extended release

Hi pravin, As word 'delayed' indicating release is prevented for time being and after certain time or in particular medium drug will release like enteric coated formulations (e.g. Pantoprazole enteric coated formulations) while in extended release formulation drug release pattern starts from initial time till minimum effective concentration achieved and then release is optimized to maintain minimum effective concentration upto extended hours like Metformin SR formulations.
