In the step of standardization of sod. thiosulfate......when I prepare the sol by adding KI, dissolving it in 75ml disH2O etc and when i go for titration part after adding few drops starch, the color becomes dark blue and in titration with sodium thiosulfate the colour vanishes in using only 2ml of thiosulfate. Why ??

Hi. I did same chemical prepration for DO. My doubt is 1.After preparation of alkali iodide aziide solution the azide is not comptely dissolved ..is it be like only or what I am confused 2.after adding Starch indicator the sample didn't turn in to dark blue or black colour. Kindly suggest on this what may be the cause.
