Join our webinar on distal femur fractures!
The distal femur is a rich source of controversy, when it comes to fractures. Orthohub are bringing together 3 superb faculty (and Pete!) to discuss the nuances, the evidence and the technicalities around all aspects of these challenging fractures; from the absolute basics, right up to managing the super-high-energy smasheroos!
Fragility fractures; these can be some of the hardest patients to manage. The bone quality is often terrible and yet we know that the patient needs to be able to stand up and mobilise as soon as possible afterwards. How do we tick both of those boxes without taking huge risks with the patient’s physiology and the soft tissues?
High energy, smashed up fractures with comminution of the articular surfaces; these are also tough cases and important to get right.
And how about bone loss, where cortical/cancellous fragments are devoid of soft tissue attachment or left by the roadside? How do we approach those? Masquelet vs distraction vs shortening vs retention of fragments; what’s the answer?
In this webinar, Jayne, Greg and Enis are giving their thoughts and answering questions in real time. It is a cracker!
